So on the nights of WWE PLEs, do you think they’ll stack the show to try and draw some folks away or just concede the night to WWE?
Hopefully Tony has a plan for this, as the third episode is going up against Money in the Bank.

The real test will be once they have the next Media Scrum and Punk is involved in it, like I wouldnt be surprised if they have a worked scene with Punk "teasing going off the script again" and TK tells him to stop, as a way to troll the smarks. Punk brings out a box of muffins and Tony finally socks him like George McFly at the end of Back to the Future. |

Even though it did happen at a house show, I'm surprised Bret Hart vs Randy Savage wasn't featured as a WWF PPV bout. That one was a missed opportunity. As was Hogan vs Flair at Wrestlemania 8. Savage was also said to be very vocal about wanting to work with HBK in 1992/3, and McMahon shot him down every time. They worked some tag matches on house shows but no big program. |

I think Naomi’s reign starting on such a confusing note really hurt it. Wrestlemania 33 is in her hometown but she beats Alexa at Elimination Chamber. She’s then injured and vacated the title but is back before Mania and wins it again for a MANIA MOMENT that would have probably been more impactful if she didn’t have like a 2 week reign of nothing the month before.

I do like how, and I understand why Tony's doing this but still, if you had absolutely no idea about all the backstage stuff it just sounds like Punk has been gone due to the injury and now is back. No drama, no nothing, just an unfortunate ol' triceps injury, and pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. Did they ever give a kayfabe reason for The Elite being stripped of the titles? Because if they’re just pretending Punk’s absence/title loss was strictly due to injury, what would the storyline reason for The Elite being stripped and disappearing be? |

Please leave the actual arguments about the military as a whole or whatever the RCMP did before out of the discussion, please. I think we can have a decent conversation about Evans without condemning Snake Eyes or Dudley Do-Right in the midst of it. Dudley Do-Right is American cultural appropriation of Canada and I won't tolerate it. Weird fact: Brendan Fraser, who played Dudley Do-Right in the disastrous film adaptation, is actually a dual Canadian/American citizen (he was born in the US, his parents are native Canucks). Can Brendan Fraser not be the bridge that unites us?? |

Jackie Gayda debuts, says she has a tape that will ruin Jeff Jarrett in some way, and then she gets pregnant, leaves and the contents of the tape are never revealed. THIS WAS THE MAIN EVENT ANGLE IN THE EARLY DAYS ON SPIKE! Never heard of this before but Jackie Gayda being involved in a main event angle has to be the worst example of “If you ever worked for WWE, you will be a main eventer in TNA” |

Do wonder if we might see a shift toward more animated superhero movies in the wake of this one's success. It's already quadrupled its budget and is still holding well at this point, the market clearly exists. Make Power Pack you cowards.I’m surprised the MCU hasn’t done anything in the way of animated features (What If, X-Men ‘97, and that other Spidey cartoon notwithstanding). I’ve long held the opinion that Fantastic Four should be an animated franchise. If they can push artistic boundaries this far for Spidey, think how nuts they could get with the FF. |

Seth Rollins and Anthony Mackie my dream team Remember when Anthony Mackie was in Pain and Gain and he was supposed to be a bodybuilder and was decently built, the only problem was that he was cast alongside the Rock who was almost certainly mainlining every steroid/PED known to man and Mark Wahlberg who wasn’t far behind. lol The Rock was the size of two entire Rocky Maivia’s in that movie. Also, Pain & Gain is great. |

Taika even mentioned right away that L&T was going to be even "funnier" ... as I said a lot of teh writing in Love and Thunder seemed to be a response to critics of Ragnarok. Yup. Taika's a damn funny writer and a talented director, but he does have a tendency to disappear up his own ass at times. He was on a massive winning streak after Ragnarok hit big, he won an Oscar for Jojo Rabbit and his name was attached to the What We Do In The Shadows series. Wins like that usually means a director gets almost total control over a movie and unfortunately Love & Thunder showed what Full Taiki is like. |

Didn’t WCW more or less maintain its viewership until the middle of 1999? Tons of people still watched Nitro in 1998 while Raw was hot, it was their own foolishness that undid them.

Towards the end of the WWE Network days, they had a short but nicely done doc on Street. He was just so far ahead of his time, truly got every single aspect of pro wrestling. And the man himself viewed his career with nothing but fondness, he’d didn’t bitter about “never getting a break” or not being as well-known as he should be.
