A few years ago, I read an article where they asked one of competitors what the next 24 hours on the toilet were like. The guy took a long pause and then said “You live with the choices you make.”
I always found that a strangely poignant answer to discussing pooping out dozens of hot dogs.

We've reached the day were 130 million opening is considered a flop. It has a budget of $300 million dollars before advertising. There’s a lot of big movies opening in the next few weeks. It will end up losing at least $100 million for Disney. That’s a flop. |

One that gets overlooked due to memes and whathaveyou, but Virgil vs Ted DiBiase in 1991. It was a great story on 3 PPVS: Virgil finally having enough and turning at the Rumble, Virgil winning by countout at Mania (getting the win but not really beating DiBiase, then finally winning the Million Dollar Belt at Summerslam.
Granted, Virgil didn’t really go anywhere after that but that was a story years in the baking and they played it perfectly.

So it's out that there are actually at least two different versions of the movie in theaters at the moment, which to me combined with that rendering thing is just kind of, "Holy shit learn some restraint with the vision and stop doing extraneous work." Yeah, this movie is starting to feel a lot like an artist got WAY carried away with what they COULD do vs. what they SHOULD do. I feel like there’s a line between “You can make a bold & inventive sequel to a bold & inventive film” and “You’re not Stanley Kubrick, stop killing people to make a Spidey cartoon” that needs to be toed better in the future. |

Jani Lane could never get past the popularity of Cherry Pie. And as a side note, people mentioned in this thread could learn a thing or two from Bill Watterson. About a decade or so ago, there was a big exhibition of Calvin & Hobbes at a cartooning museum and they sold the exhibition booklet on Amazon. It has a huge interview with Watterson and he’s the polar opposite of “reclusive artist that hates his creation”. He did all he thought he could with Calvin, was tired of dealing with newspaper syndicates and just quietly moved onto other pursuits. It’s a great book, pick it up if it’s still out there. The only thing that seemed to rankle him was all the bootleg merchandise. I’m watching Jaws:The Revenge right now. Michael Caine missed accepting his first Oscar due to filming this and later said “I have not seen the film, which by all accounts is terrible. However, I have seen the house it bought and it is lovely.” It was actually the movie that made him get over his “Take anything you’re offered, you don’t know when they’ll stop calling” mindset. |

Does this make Bowens the first acknowledged open gay wrestler in a major company? Like I know we've had several bi and gay wrestlers that were open outside the ring but none that I can think of like Bowens where it's acknowledged and part of his character. I remember seeing a Tuesday Night Titans segment where Adrian Adonis referred to himself as gay, but as far as I know he wasn't really Gay in real life As far as being someone who's actually Gay? Probably I can't think of any others Adrian Adonis had been married for 16 years at the time of his death, so I’m fairly certain anything on-screen was just a gimmick. |

Though I continue to be flabbergasted by how good ratings the College World Series does. Like college baseball sounds like the most boring thing ever to me.
I’m guessing because it’s the only “event” going on right now. NBA and NHL just finished their playoffs and we’ve begun the long middle of the MLB season so the college baseball is like the only game in town. And it’s been terribly boring for the most part. |

Which was WB and DC's choice. They could have given the CGI artists all the time they needed. That they kept messing with the final cut of the movie doesn't negate my point that they had the time, they just didn't use it right. To the CGI point... That’s up there with the Game of Thrones/House of Dragons “Even though every other program on every other channel looks fine, your TV is calibrated incorrectly and that’s why you can’t see anything.” excuse. |
