I think RD said it best when he asked why would people want these damn cases.

I agree with Storm here based on two main reason's. I specifically was jacked about watching TNA last night to see which wrestler had which briefcase. TNA is pretty buschleague for bait and switching. I mean waiting more then one impact to do this is beyond pathetic. That, on top of making it look like they were getting the cases ready to bring out last night the entire show.
The laddermatch thing has me completley confused like Storm is. I don't understand what the point of being in "possession" of a title that you do not own, especially having a match just for possession. If anything, why wouldnt Lethal, being the babyface that he is, put the title up for grabs in the ladder match? Yea, really stupid. I honestly don't know if Lethal is still the champion or not.
This is now the 2nd person that has possession of the X title and I think we still have a champion who hasnt had possession of the title in months. Makes zero sense why they havnt had a payoff title defense yet...

Lance Storm is obviously just paid by WWE, and that's why he buries the product so much.

try to explain some of this stuff:
-Lance is pissed about the showroom thing? Apparently, Lance missed the 7 foot tall person whos job it was to guard them.
-I can get why he doesn't want to buy the PPV, but why can't he watch the 6-8 hours of iMPACT? Jesus....
-Team 3D stole the belt. They didn't steal the champion position, just the belt. Lethal wanted a match to get the belt back. The same thing happened about 2 years ago, when Abyss stole the belt from Christian Cage, and again when Samoa Joe stole the belt from Jeff Jarrett. It's the same concept! It's a theft, and the owner wanted it back and was fighting for it. Wht's so retarded aobut that?!
-The Gail thing was already explained.

The heel steals it from the face because he feels he should've won it in their last match. The face is just trying to piss off the heel because he hates him. Whatever. That's all well and good. And it started out well enough when 3-D stole the belt from Machismo (even though, I think the "X-Division VS the World" angle has been done to death). But now someone else has the belt, and they're having matches deciding who gets to "possess" the belt? But not be champion? I'm sorry. I've cut TNA some slack, but that's just re-goddamned-tarded. Probably because he doesn't have enough asprin on hand to clear up the migraine it inevitable induces.

Team 3D were gonna toss it back anyway, but the problem was Machismo wanted to fight for it instead of just take it back. He got screwed, and all that's left is to try agian.

When Joe stole the NWA World title there was only one match fought over the possession, which was an "unsanctioned" ladder match between himself and Christian "Eagle-Eye" Cage (who was not the champion but still believed he desereved the belt in some fashion because he's A CHAMPIAHN). He lost possession of the belt by getting beaten up and having it returned to its rightful owner. Now we're having sanctioned matches over who gets to hold the shiny object this week. Something's not adding up.

He wants to do it the "right" way and win the title back in a match. He even said that when he challenged them!

The Belt is just a side story to the bigger feud. It was still the feud when bubba "kidnapped" Devine and ended up revelaing the traitor. it's just involving the X-Division champ and the X0-Division traitor!

No matter what, when you get right down to it, it's a 6-man tag war over a singles title. Not even to determine a new champion, but just who gets to possess the belt. They could've done the same idea with Brother Canucker gunning after Lethal's belt while Team 3D tries to help him get it but the MCMGs eventually intervene on Lethal's behalf, thus not having these silly possession matches and not having a 6-man tag war over a singles title. but then again tag matches for singles belts seems to be TNA's "big thing" right now.
