Forrest Gump. Everyone likes to nitpick at that movie so much when it's a really touching and great film.

The Phantom Menace. Ok, Jar Jar was bad, we get it. Stop bringing it up every 5 seconds. Beyond Jar Jar, it's a good movie. "BUT BUT BUT IT'S NOT THE STAR WARS I WANTED" Yeah, we know. It's the Star Wars George Lucas wanted. Get over yourself. Just because you bought 47 tickets to the first three movies does not mean you should magically get input on future projects. You didn't have to watch it. You didn't have to like yet. Yet, somehow, you think your opinion should matter. 60% of that movie was very good, but quite a bit of the rest was crap. Add to that several of the little things (midichlorians anyone?) just did not fit in well with any of the original trilogy. See, I never got the midichlorian hate. That explanation doesn't change anything about the Force, just that the ability to perceive is more genetic. It doesn't nullify anything Sir Alec said in his awesome speech about the Force. In fact, I think it makes it more "special", because the abillity is shared by only a few people. I mean, let's say that telepaths were real. Would it be more special if everyone and anyone could do it, or only a few people?

I think the main problem with Phantom Menace is it didn't live up to people's expectations. But honestly, NOTHING could've lived up to THOSE expectations. Even if the movie was 100 times better than it was, people still would've bitched that it ruined Star Wars forever.
And put me down for Transformers, too. I loved it.

It was an attempt to explain something that did not need explained, and it created a HUGE plot hole. If every kid in Republic space gets tested, then how did they NOT know that Palpatine had the potential to become a force user that not only can kill multiple jedis by himself, but could send Yoda himself scurrying off?

Transformers was a attempt on sensory pornography. Everything was filmed to give you the feel that we were watching mechanical porn. Everything was a money shot, and the camera work had the style of a overzealous 17 yr old on a sugar rush.
Micheal Bay hurts the future of mankind.

Live Free or Die Hard. Alot of detractors have said that "that wasn't John McClane" after vieiwing the movie, especially on the imdb boards. I thought it was a natural progression of the character to be more cool headed and toned down just a bit.
Actually, I think the progression of the John McClane character throughout the series was fantastic.

Thats the Main thing Connery was a good mix of the Suaveness and rugged ness of Bond Moore was pure Suve and not as much rugged Pierce Brosnan was an ok mix, but very strong on the ruggedness But Dalton is not strong in either cat. He in my mind is just there *I did not count Craig and Lazenby because as of now only 1 movie each What I liked about Connery is that, he's a charming bastard...and you believe him when he kicks ass. Brosnan I liked, though he never was comfortable with the stupid puns....which is fine. He's action-credible though. I tell ya, if Craig can keep it up with his 2 other 007-contracted gigs..... He'll be the greatest Bond of them all. Yes, even better than Connery. Oh yea I totally Agree. He is on the right path

Can't understand the hate. Also, Battlefield Earth. It's not THAT bad. Yeah, a little boring, but no worse than anything you'd see on Sci-Fi. I went to see this the second weekend it was out,i was one of three people in the theatre and the only ne to make it through the whole thing..yeah maybe it's no worse then a sci-fi original but you don't really expect those to be good and you werent paying (what were theatre tickets then? Lets say 6.50?)6.50 for the honor of watching them either.

I didn't like SW:TPM because it seemed like was filmed for 10 year olds. I loved it when I was ten, but I went back and watched it this summer, and it just seemed like a giant toy commercial.

Actually, I think the progression of the John McClane character throughout the series was fantastic. Well, considering how I was on about LFODH not being a true DH picture.....then I saw the Unrated Edit, and changed my opinion. That said, one problem remains that still bugs me.......did they had to have that goofy-ass bitchy kid remark of "I'm Gennero"? Its amazing how when most action movies fail with it, the original DIE HARD made the "estranged lovers back together by finale" plotline seem so damn orgnaic.

I enjoyed Transformers as well. Did it have flaws? Sure, but so did Rocky (my fav movie), heck, that scene of Apollo coming down dressed as uncle sam is as bad as the sams happy time joke. Speaking of which, rocky 5. It did kind of bring the series back full circle, and had one of the best ending lines ever, "sue me for what?" wow, I didn't know ROCKY was emo too. ROCKY is a compelling drama, fueled by the acting and script. TF...without the explosions and CGI, why bother with it? Anyway, screw ROCKY V....what about ROCKY BALBOA? That's the only true ROCKY sequel. Agree with the fact that Rocky V doesn't exist (even Stallone says Balboa was a retcon). But the ONLY sequel? For shame. Clubber Lang and Ivan Drago, be not proud.... I'm a very big fan of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest AND At World's End. Karate Kid 3 is one of the grandest things mankind has ever created. "I own you! I own you, La Russo!! Your karate's a joke!!!" To settle the lingering debate....I was underwhelmed with Zodiac AND Transformers. Let there be peace....

I think speed 2 is stupid, cheesy fun, no worse than any of the other summer blockerbusters that are usualy churned out. I actually think if Keanu had done speed 2 it would have done a lot better, commercially and critically. He's not the best actor ever, but he could hold a movie a lot better than Jason patric could and had a lot more chemistry with sandra bullock. Also, I think Keanu would have insisted they not play it as much for comedy as they were and it would have had a more serious tone. I watch speed 2 and see a decent action flick, not one of the worst films ever made like it's considered to be. It's no where near as bad as gigli, battlefield earth or pluto nash. The problem is, Keanu read the script.....and I don't blame him for passing it. Its a pretty stupid story.... Patric is lifeless, Bullock* is given alot more screentime despite still shoehorned as the damsel in distress, and Willem Dafoe is awesome, but he tries what he can with the garbage sent to him. *=She says SPEED 2 is her biggest career mistake. Yeah, I'm sure she was crying into the $10 million they gave her for doing it. I think speed 2 is remembered to badly because the first one was so great. If the movie hadn't been a sequel to speed 2, it probably would be seen as a dumb, fun action movie, no worse than anything Steven Segal has churned out over the years. I don't even think the story is that bad...crazy guy takes over a cruise ship. It's basically the same as crazy guy takes over a building, or crazy guy takes over a bus, or crazy guy takes over a train.

The 1998 version of Godzilla.
It's a movie about a monster. There's not really much else they could have done with it.
I don't understand the criticism.
