Ah, there's your problem, it wasn't SF3, it was Super SF2. And you had to do it on eight star difficulty. No surprise I never managed to do this, I love Street Fighter but man do I suck at fighting games As for an Urban Legend, the old you can resurrect Aeris in FFVII one Actually, it takes a LOT to do, but you CAN revive Aerith, only problem is, by the time you are able to revive her through the needed steps, the rest of your party will be either maxed out or near maxing out, and she'll be a really low level.

There's supposedly some arcade game that existed in the early 1980s and may have been geographically isolated in and around Oregon that caused players to have horrible nightmares, memory loss and an almost adverse reaction to going anywhere near the arcade where the unit was held. Supposedly some Men In Black tended to the game and periodically collected the coins along with some data (printouts or otherwise) from the device. The game's name is something like Polybias and apparently there's a long and elaborate story about how rare it is and those with ROMs of it lose it or drop out of communities. Probably it was just a real crappy game with early vector graphics that just screwed with everyone's vision, but it is quite obvious that the government has been looking to give everyone nightmares and erase their memory anyway they possibly can for.........some reason. this one I think en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polybius_(game)

Stop 'N' Swop.
Not so much as an urban legend...just an unfortunate, anticlimactic end.

I remember everyone claiming that Smackdown 2 had an unfinished dumpster match and inferno match in it that could be unlocked by playing the carrear mode for 99 years or some stuff like that I vaguely remember hearing about that and thinking "99 seasons? I think I'll go clinically insane if I try it" Especially when you remembered that it would load for five minutes just to show Triple H backstage with "TRIPLE H has arrived!" underneath him, even though he didnt have nothing to do with your character...

Gogo (FFVI) is former Vice President and two-time presidential candidate Adlai Stevenson
no I don't quite get it either
other theories as to Gogo's identity include General Leo or Emperor Gestahl, both through the method of somehow cheating their demises

I remember everyone claiming that Smackdown 2 had an unfinished dumpster match and inferno match in it that could be unlocked by playing the carrear mode for 99 years or some stuff like that It was 50. I remember because it was on the WWf gaming website under codes. I tried it I hope someone in WWf was fired for that. I did it with Paul Bearer since that would provide minimal interruptions except for the occasional backstage attack.

Cue Triple H bile... I think it was an ironic rumor, that being that by the time you'd have completed 99 seasons, you'd have been playing for so long that the smackdown video game series and video game technology would have evolved so far that all those match types would be available on smackdowns sequels

Actually, it takes a LOT to do, but you CAN revive Aerith, only problem is, by the time you are able to revive her through the needed steps, the rest of your party will be either maxed out or near maxing out, and she'll be a really low level. How exactly? I didn't do it myself, I recently was at an anime convention, and I ran across a group of people surrounding a table in the gaming room. What everyone was watching was a guy playing FF7 against Sephiroth with Cloud and Tifa both at lvl 99 and....he had Aerith in his party. Everyone wanted to know how he did it, and he pulled out a huge ass list of all the quests needed to be done, in what order, and how many items to acquire, in what order, and what quantities. One thing I saw on the list was 100 Phoenix Downs....alone. Everyone, besides me, was quickly copying his list of requirements. I later talked to him on the side, and we exchanged the following conversation. "So...why weren't you copying down the list?" "Well, for one, I only think FF7 is a good game, not a game worth going through ALL that just to revive a character. Secondly, I know there is no way in hell that you can do it without cheating." "You're right. There is no way. I hacked the game's coding."

I mean, Smackdown 2 was the best PS1 Wrestling game made, but 99 seasons? my brain would melt I remember I think I did about 20 seasons, and simulating any match with Shane McMahon would automatically result in him as champion. By the end of it all, he held every title about 30 times each. I remember back in the day, people said there was a way to unlock Luigi on Mario 64, then again in Sunshine. Good thing they finally corrected that with Galaxy. Unlocking Sonic and Tails on Melee, not to mention Wario, Toad and countless others. The "secret city" of Carsor City after you gain 100% on GTA III.

I'm going to go on a limb and guess some people thought you could unlock Magikoopa in Mario Kart 64 based on him being in pre-release screenshots but not the final game
I also remember someone once telling me a BS story about being able to unlock Koopa Troopa

While they did appear in later games I remember wild rumors that Noob Saibot and Rain were playable characters in the first Mortal Kombat.
