I watched the endless commercials and wondered why he's still doing the same "wacky Mexican" jokes. He's wearing a sombrero and a poncho, a big fake mustache, and firing pistols in the air. And somehow people laugh at this. Sorry to tell you but...... The Age of Idiocracy has arrived. We've been living in it for quite some time now. Expect ASS:THE MOVIE from the creators of EPIC MOVIE and DATE MOVIE any time now. I've personally been waiting for an episode of Family Guy which is essentially 22 minutes of Peter taking a poop.

Mainly because Dave Chapelle isn't on the channel anymore with new episodes. If Dave stayed, then Mencia would be without a job on Comedy Central. As funny as I think Mencia is, I totally agree with the statement above. Chappelle Show >>>>>>>> Mind of Mencia

The existence of Carlos Mencia's show on Comedy Central is one of those things that makes me question whether or not I might actually already be dead and in hell. Only Satan Himself would greenlight another season of Mind of Mencia.
...You know what though? I think I'd have to go see a movie titled "ASS: THE MOVIE" based on principle alone.

The channel he's on thats making a lot of money off of his show because there was a hole left when Dave Chappelle quit that needed to be filled by the first no-talent jagoff that fell into their lap. Also, his audience is rife with idiots. Fixed.

I think the only reason it got renewed is because so many people watch because of how UNfunny it is. I know i'm not the only one who tunes in just so he can laugh at the people who laugh at it.
This theory can also be applied to Family Guy

Mind of Mencia is so awful to me that I find out borderline offensive; not offensive in an "Oh, he did NOT just say that, ROFLCOPTER!" sort of way, but in a way that the mere sight of the man causes me physical illness.
Watching Joe Rogan decimate him at that comedy club was pure joy.
And yes, Mencia isn't one iota Mexican, from what I know. He's Honduran and German.
The thing is, the guy was getting a show even if Chappelle had stayed around, but they wouldn't be pushing Mencia this hard if Dave hadn't left.

Isn't he from Honduras anyway? I guess he grew up in Southern California, so whatever. I don't watch him, and if his shelf life is as limited as most Comedy Central shows of that ilk, this is likely his last season. 4 seasons is pretty damn good shelf lifeimo

Mencia is comedy for the dumb. Of course, people with a brain will hate him. But considering there are people out there who still find racism hilarious, he's become an icon.
It's a sad, sad world we are living in.

Unfortunately we all saw this coming from a mile away when Dave Chappelle went to Africa. Comedy Central was in desperate times and they needed to find a replacement for Chappelle, and there was Ned Mencia, waiting for his call up to the big leagues. But what Comedy Central doesn't get is that Mencia isn't edgy or funny, yet they consistently build him up as an edgy comedian who doesn't give a damn about anything. That's not what Chappelle's Show was about. That show was edgy because it was funny and had a sense of realism to it, whereas Mind of Mencia is just 30 minutes of "beaner" jokes and Arab jokes, and they consider that to be racy and taboo. Nailed it. This is the channel that gave us drawn together after all. Joe Rogan>Ned Holness Joe Rogan also called Dennis Leary a thief, let's not give him too much credit. Not to defend Mencia but seriously, I'm not very big on taking the word of an angry midget who's entire idea of comedy at this point is "laugh or i'll kick your ass" and accusing just about everyone under the sun of stealing jokes.

As much as I like Leary, and I do, alot of his stuff WAS aped from Bill Hicks. look the point I'm trying to make is when you have one person telling you everyone's a theif and trying to start fights and someone else (in this case Pablo Fransisco) saying that it is not like that, well, I'm liable to believe the person who isn't being an ass

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe "Mexican" and "Honduran" are races. If that's true, I'm half-Californian and half-Massachusetts-y.

People love Carlos Mencia because they're not familiar with guys like Bill Cosby and Ari Shaffir. Yeah, because one person cannot possibly like more than one form of comedy. Just because you or I do not like something, doesn't make we're superior to them. And vice versa. Having said that, I enjoy Mencia's comedy. I think he has a hilarious delivery, and he's able to entertain me. I've seen him live, and he put one a great show. Do his jokes on TV weigh heavily on "Mexicans"? Sure they do. Would anyone tune in to watch jokes made about "Hondurans"? Most likely not. Society doesn't want that. And if people say that society does, just look at the ratings that Mind of Mencia is getting at the present time.
