Everyone seems to be arguing about two different things here. One group is arguing that Mencia steals groups. Meat is arguing that humor is subjective and he finds his style and delivery funny. Where the hell is this Hispania that I always read about? It's right next to Caucasia.

All I gotta say is when this whole "stealing" thing started and I've listened to Carlos defend himself... his tone, pauses, etc. are exactly like a friend of mine who's a compulsive liar, when you call him on a lie. They try to keep their cool, not to get nervous and stutter or stop or give themselves a way, but once you get used to the way they're changing from the normal way they talk, to their "defense" you can just sorta tell when they're bs'ing, back tracking, etc.
I didn't mind Carlos at first, in fact I enjoyed him for a little while. Then he pretty much just became a one trick pony to me.
Beaner. Tee hee. Beaner. Heh. Beaner. Eh. Beaner. Meh.

I already answered Meat's question. And that was a real answer too.

Normally, I'd defend Carlos in threads like this, but, so far, the new episodes have been abyssmal! (I mean, a puppet show about Blood Diamonds? Yeah, that's high-larious! )

Wow. I'll never understand haters, of any kind. I'll never understand what is so offensive about other people's sense of humor. It's ridiculous, immature, and stupid. Where to start...
"He tells Mexican jokes, but he's Honduran and German and his name is Ned Holness!" The name on his birth certificate is Ned Mencia. Holness is his (Honduran) biological father's last name, and his (Mexican) mother's name was Mencia. Yes, he went by Ned Holness for a long time. So what? It's called a stage name. Many performers have used them over the years. And since when do you have to be fully Mexican to tell Mexican jokes? Daniel Tosh (just like many many other white comics) has told jokes about black people, but he's not black! We can't allow that! Rabble rabble rabble!
I can't defend/account for all of the plagiarism accusations, but I'll say this. The Mexican border fence/who's gonna build it joke that he allegedly "stole" from Ari Shaffir, has also been told by D.L. Hughley AND George Lopez, ironically someone else that has accused Mencia of stealing jokes, only to have the person who originally told the joke in question (Ted Sarnowski) state that he gave Mencia permission to use it, and Lopez used it without permission.
There's thousands of jokes out there told every day. For every joke that Mencia has told that another comedian has also told, he's told many more that, as far as I know, are all his.
I've seen him live several times and was thoroughly entertained every time. Apparently that makes me some kind of half-brained mongoloid. Well, to anyone that thinks that, f*** you. You're a self-righteous arrogant elitist asshole. And I'm so sorry that my sense of humor is so offensive to you and that it just boils your blood and ruins your life that I find Carlos Mencia amusing.
I'm also amused that someone compared him to Dane Cook here, when Dane Cook has been accused of stealing jokes from Louis C.K.
My bottom line is this. All you people that are so horribly offended that other people find Mencia funny need to grow the f*** up. Different people have different senses of humor. Period. So get over it.
