So, I occasionally watch Comedy Central, and every time I do, I'm inundated with commercials for Mind of Mencia's new season. I can't stand Carlos Mencia. I don't find him funny at all, and if the stories are true, he's ripped off so many people for his comedy act that he has a list of people that want to kick his ass. What's the freaking appeal for this guy? It's almost like he's a fake Mexican Dave Chappelle, only with a tenth of the talent.

America told him to make another season by watching last season's episodes unfortunately.

Mainly because Dave Chapelle isn't on the channel anymore with new episodes. If Dave stayed, then Mencia would be without a job on Comedy Central.

Isn't he from Honduras anyway?
I guess he grew up in Southern California, so whatever. I don't watch him, and if his shelf life is as limited as most Comedy Central shows of that ilk, this is likely his last season.

Unfortunately we all saw this coming from a mile away when Dave Chappelle went to Africa. Comedy Central was in desperate times and they needed to find a replacement for Chappelle, and there was Ned Mencia, waiting for his call up to the big leagues.
But what Comedy Central doesn't get is that Mencia isn't edgy or funny, yet they consistently build him up as an edgy comedian who doesn't give a damn about anything. That's not what Chappelle's Show was about. That show was edgy because it was funny and had a sense of realism to it, whereas Mind of Mencia is just 30 minutes of "beaner" jokes and Arab jokes, and they consider that to be racy and taboo.

He is half Honduran, half Mexican.
And his first stand up special was pretty good. Since then, he has been really hit or miss. THough this season of the show is pretty god awful.

I don't get it either.
Never been a fan, likely never will be. If you're into him, then that's fine with me- but I can't stand Mencia's act personally.

He is half Honduran, half Mexican. Yet all his jokes pretain to being a Mexican. Oh well, heritage isn't important. People just don't tune in to see Honduran jokes, I guess. (whatever they would be) I hate that dude. He is to comedy what Kelly Kelly is to stripping. Sure he's there and he's doing things that resemble comedy in some small way, but is it worth it? Apparently enough Americans thought so to make this nightmare a reality. Beaner. Beaner. Beaner. ROFL! ROFL!

I thought it was half-Honduran and half-German. This is what I thought too.....ah well, THAT part really doesn't matter to me. What matters to me is that his show is half suck, half blow and 100% shitty. Seriously, my mother watches TRADING SPACES and I've seen gay interior decorators on THAT show make funnier jokes than Mencia.

People love Carlos Mencia because they're not familiar with guys like Bill Cosby and Ari Shaffir.

I liked his first Comedy Central presents enough to at least flip to it during commercials.
I like the first episode of Mind of Mencia because of Peter Boyle. That's where my fanship of Mencia ends.
Bring back Stella for me to watch. Hell bring back Halfway Home over this crap.

Agreed. I loved Stella! And Halfway Home...well, it had Jessica Makinson, who's totally hot.

I watched the endless commercials and wondered why he's still doing the same "wacky Mexican" jokes. He's wearing a sombrero and a poncho, a big fake mustache, and firing pistols in the air. And somehow people laugh at this.
