Question: If they ever moved SmackDown! back to Thursdays permanently, wouldn't Spike simply move iMPACT! to another day? Possibly, but they're currently planning to start airing iMPACT live every second Thursday. If SD started to affect TNA's ratings I imagine they'd just move it to Wednesday

And to answer a previous question, WWE won't announce this until they've found another network to put it on.
They'd never put it on Bravo because many homes still need digital cable or satellite TV just to view it, and channels on digital cable bring in horrible ratings. (See above, re: G4.)

Jeez, all this talk about moving to Thursday and crushing TNA is making me feel uncomfortable. Hey, it did real good on Friday, so why can't it stay on Friday?

New question................are any of you surprised by this announcement? I am. Didn't know there were contract problems, especially since I thought they were already settled.

New question................are any of you surprised by this announcement? As I said earlier, not at all. Well, maybe that it didn't happen sooner but, that's it. I remember when they moved it to Fridays it was thought that they wouldn't make it to the next contract. Then when the merger happened, they were one of the last shows to announced as moving to the CW. Add in that they wouldn't let WWE advertise anything else and basically killing off the Mohammed Hassan angle/character and I still have trouble believing they lasted this long.

The chances of it going to NBC are slim. The writers strike is all but over. If it does go to NBC it'd be a trial run or for the summer.
SciFi is probably the best bet, but even that is a stretch.
Some network will pick it up, but cable is the most likely home for it now. I'd not be surprised at all if its on USA.

With our luck, they'll put it on CNBC.

Whereever it goes will have an HD feed. That can pretty much be guaranteed.
The WWE are not stupid. They knew this was a probability and obviously have a contingency plan in place to go after another network.

This opens the door for a Hassan return,
Okay that's just wishful thinking. But the people whom booted Hassan off their network, won't be controlling Smackdown anymore.

Wow, that sounds awfully familiar...that's right, we here near him tell him that all the time. Really, it's kinda his thing. He's not the Statboy--sorry, StatMAN now--for nothing, y'know.
