You're splitting hairs now.
He's retiring from the ring.
He will either get a role as a manager or Gm, whatever, or work behind the scenes.
For everything he did *AS AN IN RING PROFORMER* he deserves all the accolades he is getting and then some.

Are you GUYS FORGETTING that FLair signed a 3 year deal a while back??? Flair is going to be around regardless and will most likely come back for the occasional match. HES NOT RETIRING. SO quit making it like he is never going to be seen again and going overboard with the "oh Flair is the greatest... he deserves this." Who wanted to see him wrestling every week in the ring anyways with as limited as he is these days. You think he signed a 3 year contract with wwe to be a "behind the scenes man?" Not with his EGO. So being that he is still around, I dont call that retiring. I call retiring, "leaving the business alltogether." But the guy is not retiring.. GET OVER IT. If he is still around in some fashion, (which he will be) Im sure he will wrestle on occasion. But either way, he will still be seen on TV. The old man cant give up the spotlight anyways. AND THIS Why I cant stand the Ric Flair lovefest on here. It is unnecessary saggyboy, we get it, you don't like Flair, but just like how you said he wasn't a draw, and a while back about how Trips took HGH to heal up, you need to find some facts before making assumptions. Your statements are from opinion, not fact. Did Austin ever come back for a match after he retired in 2003? I think not. Has Rocky come back since he had his last match? Nope. They're both retired, but we still see them from time to time on WWE programming. Rocky less than Austin, but either way, both talents no longer wrestle. That makes them retired. That's like saying Jose Lithario wasn't a retired worker because he managed Shawn Michaels and had a 'match' with Cornette. That's basically saying that since Bret came on TV last year for a promo on Vince, that he never retired. Sure, Flair might come back as a GM or a manager... but all signs have pointed to his last actual match happening at Wrestlemania XXIV. You can make speculation that he'll come back, but when you try to get other people to believe the same thing by telling them they're wrong for showing Ric Flair, one of the greatest of all time, any sort of "LOVEFEST" before his supposed last match, it's not right in my eyes. Especially when at times you've told people to stop showing respect for the guy because he'd be back. Until I see Flair come back somewhere down the line for a 'comeback match', i'm one of those thinking this is his last match and i'm one of those tipping my hat to one of my favorites. -metylerca

The guy can't work any more. Honestly, I'll be glad when he's gone, but he does deserve the love fest at least.

First saggboyflair and now azzor. Sheesh, if you can't accept the fact that people like Ric Flair, why even bother? Hypocrite much? Its your right to love him, its my right to think the love goes to far. I don't understand what your big issue with Flair is, you think he's overrated. Yeah that's understandable, but to bash what the guy has done over the last near 20 years is pretty hard to understand. It's not like Flair has been holding anybody down or hogging the spotlight. I assume this was aimed at me? I didnt bash anything. I simply said I find the love fest too much. It was aimed towards saggyboyflair, I didn't see you bash his work over the last 20 years.
