When i went, there were no kids whatsoever in the audience. My mom had wanted me to take my little brother, but I thought it was going to be a little dark for him. What about you guys? Did you notice any kids in the theatre, and if so, did they act freaked out at anything? The theater I went to was 100% adult attendance- which was good, because I would not take a 7 or 8 year old to see Dark Knight.

I'd like to see Mr. Freeze with the new Batman treatment honestly... just to finaly destroy the memories of Ahnold as Mr. Freeze.
I've seen Philip Seymour Hoffman's name bandied about for the penguin, but I don't know who could pull off a good Victor Fries.
I can say it SHOULDN'T be Jason Statham just because he's bald.

At the movie theater I work at I have seen tons of people bring like 7 to 12 year old kids which I think it quite a bit young for this movie. I'm pretty sure this movie only got PG-13 because hardly any blood was shown. Of course I've seen worse. People brought kids to see the last Rob Zombie Halloween movie. Kids came out yelling "That wasn't scary!"...........Damn what type of world do we live in today?

I agree with both of these.
Ledger was a great choice for Joker because of his range as an actor and the variety of characters he usually portrays. To me, Johnny Depp playing an eccentric psycho like The Riddler isn't good acting. Its just a weird dude playing another weird dude. Thats always my biggest arguement against all of Depp's performances. He;s just a weird guy himself who always plays weird people...

Do you guys think they will replace Ledger for the next movie? I mean it would make sense since Joker was always suppose to be the main bad guy to Batman. Also it wouldn't be hard at all for them to apply and make it look like Ledger did in this one. I'm just not sure if they would be able to find an actor who could do it as well. I mean I'm sure there is some big name out there that could do it but they would have to find him. Also do you think they will bring back TwoFace as the main bad guy? I know he is suppose to be dead but it seemed a little odd that they only had him as Twoface for like what the last 40 minutes of the movie? Do you think they will have him fake his own death? I really hope they don't bring him back from the dead supernaturally because that just wouldn't be batman. Two face will be back, I am sure of it. Joker maybe not so much. I say replace Ledger, but a lot of people disagree. I think Joshua Hartnett or Giovoni Ribisi could easily pick up where Heath left off.

I think two face is definetly dead. Nolan wanted him to remain sypmpathic and somewhere between good and bad (and parraell him with batman), but if you had him as a villain in the next one, there's no ambibuity. He's just another bad guy.

Christopher Llyod would make an awesome Mr. Freeze. PSH would be a fantastic Penguin. As for Johnny Depp, he's been mentioned a few times on here, he should play the Mad Hatter. Can you imagine a Batman movie with Crispin Clover as Riddler and Depp as The Mad Hatter.

Meh, I don't neccessarily think its a bad thing, I just think it makes him less amazing then everyone thinks he is. Seeing another actor in the role would be more impressive.

Beating out Daniel Day-Lewis, Marlon Brando, and Robert freaking DeNiro! Apparently his performance as Jack Sparrow was better than Deniro as Travis Bickle, Vito Corleone, and Jake LaMotta.

Depp is easily better then then those three. Though I don't want to see Depp in a Batman movie either, I would rather see him in in gangster movies and Sin City 2 and such. I am not feeling the Mad Hatter either. Killer Croc or Clayface is the way to go. I have been saying that since Batman Begins. OR The return of Ra's Al Ghul would make me happy

I am thinking of a few villians that could be the villian for the next movie.
* Bane * Black Mask * Calender Man * Catwoman * Cluemaster * Deadshot * Firefly * Killer Croc (Killer Croc could be changed to a subterranian who is psychotic and cannibalistic) * The Mad Hatter * The Penguin * The Riddler * Hugo Strange * Ventriloquist & Scarface

Johnny Depp is truly an amazing actor. Doesn't mean he should get casted in any upcoming Bat flicks, but I hate when people just try to be contrary for the sake of being contrary.
Not saying people here are doing that (saying somebody's overrated isn't the same as saying they stink), but I've seen too many posters around here and other boards over the years just rag on a show, actor, band, etc. just because it gets popular or whatever.
My one request of Nolan: never go full-bore on anything overly fantastical. Rah's Al-Gul has some mysterious aspects to his nature, but he's not outright supernatural/science fiction, and that's what I want him to avoid.
Part of what's making these Batman movies stand out so well is how gritty and "real" they come across. Even if some stuff isn't entirely feasible in reality, it's not done in a completely whacky, over the top manner.

I saw it and really, really enjoyed it. BOTH times lol. I have to say though that as a die-hard fan of the Batman comics first and foremost, Joker not being white is complete rubbish. I loved Heath Ledger's performance 100%, don't get me wrong. But damn is it f'd up for the Joker to not have white skin. Just a dude in paint? Eh.
Anyway, that aside, it was a work of frigging art. Heath Ledger gave me something I thought I'd never see on film - THE Joker. That's actually why the white issue is so irritating - just imagine if he'd looked perfect and not just acted dead-friggin' perfect. WOW. Aaron Eckhart was terrific, and that Two-Face design made me mark the smurf out like nobody's business. Looked like he jumped right out of 'The Long Halloween'. Bale was great as always, and Gary Oldman's Jim Gordon was so marvelous to watch as a fan of 'Year One' and TLH.
New Batsuit blew, though. I'm ready for some form-fitting grey & black already.

Sooooooooo I wanna see this but I wanna hold off until the DVD release.....because honestly all of the viral marketing and hype has me just worn out on wanting to see this....
And the run time is way too long for me to sit in a theater to watch.....I'm still kinda cautious on this movie even thought it's getting a lot of praise.....I think a lot of the "best movie ever" hype is still just because of the long hailed hype for this movie so I think waiting for the DVD will be a better time to watch this movie...

You're doing yourself a complete and utter disservice if you don't go and see it. And Show, I don't think an "old school" Batman costume would work in these flicks. It'd really shatter the suspension of disbelief if Batman took the kind of beatings he does while wearing nothing but spandex.
