Yeah, well he already had him tied up and beaten. That would have gone into overkill. lol

Also, I want to say that Batman should have beaten the Joker more severely at the end than he did. Would have been a nice visual to have Batman hunched over the Joker, just BEATING the bejeesus out of him, and then the chopper spotlights him.....and he has blood all over his suit, and it's dripping off of his hand. Might be tough to get the PG with that kind of stuff though. LOL! First image I thought of after reading that, one of the finest covers.

I'm supposed to be going again with my brother next weekend (he decided to wait another week to see it), and going to Raleigh to see it in IMAX next week with a friend of mine.

I saw it in the new IMAX theatre down the street from my place yesterday.
It was AMAZING.
The IMAX Experience is definitely worth it.

It just opened last weekend.
I also got free tickets from there for next weekend to watch the new Mummy movie.
I love the "magic trick" done by the Joker with the pencil.
Also, this was my second time watching it, and I got to see how the dialogue at the very beginning all ties in throughout the movie.

I saw it again this past Saturday Night. The earliest showing for the evening (10:55) was sold out so me and a few friends bought tickets for "Step Brothers," which was was a fun flick but we couldn't help but feel dejected that we drove all the way to Universal City (which is a 30 minute or so drive) to NOT see Dark Knight. But while we left the theater at around 2:00 am we checked the box office if they had any tickets for the 2 am IMAX and low and behold, they had tickets available. I didn't look forward to getting out late because of how tired I would be but hey, it was a free ticket and it was BATMAN lol.
With all opening night hype died down with the second viewing, I can honestly say that I still like the film alot. It's a brilliant crime saga. The scene where the Fake Batman is slammed into the Mayor Of Gotham City's window scared the hell out of me lol.
I'm going to try and see it again this week. We missed the first seven minutes of it on IMAX and I really want to catch the opening completely in high quality. I don't care if I have to drive into the city by myself I mean...it's BATMAN lol.

I still find it hard to get past the Bale DEEP VOICE as Batman.
It's more distracting than anything else.
Other than that though, amazing film.

Funny. Here in Australia and probably elsewhere in the World the fast food chain Hungary Jacks (Burger King) is selling 'The Dark Whopper' as a official burger of The Dark Knight. And from the look of it well it is just a Whopper with BBQ Sauce instead of Ketchup. But still I have to get a burger called 'The Dark Whopper'.

The only thing that really ground my gears in this movie was Bale's "Batman" voice. Seriously, he's the movie's top-billed actor and you can hardly understand him with a voice that sounds like he was gargling hot asphalt. Don't you think once Bruce Wayne comes down with a case of laryngitis the people of Gotham would be able to put 2 and 2 together?
Other than that though, the movie was top-notch. It's cliche to say this, but Ledger knocked his role out of the park. After reading about all the work he put into creating that role, I respect the hell out of him. Even the sickest stuff he did was awesome to watch, and about 90% of his dialog had me laughing. Great stuff.
EDIT: Ah, I see I'm not the only person who was irked by the voice thing.

So I haven't been in these threads since the first one, but I went and saw it again tonight and I had many many previews before the film. 1 of those previews was for WWE SummerSlam and another was a WWE/Carmike Cinema sweepstakes. WWE and Dark Knight=WIN (for me )

Yea, they have that here too, it's the same burger they had when Spider-man 3 came out to go with the whole "dark side" theme. They had web fries as well. Never did get to try one though. Apparantly, it's a whopper with black pepper cheese, black pepper ketchup and dark grill sauce, sounds ok.

I finally saw it and that's about the only strike I have against this movie. I still prefer Keatons classic Batman costume & batmobile. I marked out for the magic trick and seeing Zeus in the movie. I'm usually unphasable when it comes to jumping and stuff during movies but I admit that I did when the fake batman swung against the mayor's office. Thumbs up way up for Two-Face & The Joker. I wont say that Heath's Joker was better than Jacks though.

After watching it twice there was an awesome part of the movie I noticed.
When Dent was threatening to kill the mad man if he didn't tell him about Joker, after he survived the first flip and didn't talk, Dent went on to flip again so he still had a shot at killing him.
Leaving Batman, and the entire audience to believe that the Joker's chaos has already started to get to him.
Then I remembered, that later on they reveal that his coin is double-headed, he was never going to kill him and never even considered it. He just used his ruthlessless picked up by being DA to get the information he needs to know.
Why I like this is because it shows exactly how much Joker actually had to do to finally turn Dent to the "dark side".
Greatness.

Actually, I believe that was a legit two-sided coin he used in that scene. He only had one trick coin and he gave it to Rachel before she was blown to smitherines. In any event, I saw the film for a second time in IMAX this weekend and enjoyed it every bit as much as I did the first time. My two favorite scenes have to be the mob boss roundtable at the beginning with The Joker and his interrogation scene with Batman. What an amazing transformation by Heath Ledger. You'd never know it was him.
