I was just talking to myself for a minute and I came upon this question and for the life of me I can't think of anyone in ECW who wasn't over.

Billvis and the Prodigy Tom Marquez Edit: Also Scotty Riggs and Skull Von Krush I have the Heatwave 00 PPV and Riggs actually got some decent heel heat and in his rematch with RVD in the Hammerstein got some more heat for laying out Alfonso before the match. Da Baldies?

Even when he was supposed to be face I mean, I am believe it or not aware that the bad guys are supposed to be booed.

Ha ha ha... I think you're right! NO ONE cared about what Mass Transit was doing in the ring except for his dad and maybe himself. Anyway, what about Brakkus, Chilly Willy, or Mustafa Saed (as a singles wrestler, not when teaming up with New Jack and leeching off his intensity)?

The Dudley Boyz when they wrestled solo got a general disinterested vibe. I don't think Chris Candido was ever that over.
Those are the only two I can think of.

Great technical guys, but boring as hell. Not that surprised they didn't get much of a reaction.

Who was the guy who had one match in ECW, and went to jump off the top rope while his opponent was down, but, for whatever reason, decided to land on his feet and snapped his ankle in half?
Everybody just yelled at him while he flailed around with, essentially, a severed foot.

Great technical guys, but boring as hell. Not that surprised they didn't get much of a reaction. Yeah, they were in the WON MOTY in 1992 because they were boring. In fact in that match, that's the loudest Japanese crowd I've ever heard. And the crowd didn't hate them because they were boring. I second the motion that it sucked that Furnas and Lafon didn't get over in ECW. I think they came in right before tape trading was big for ECW fans. Also, Raven has pointed this out, but when Malenko, Benoit and Eddie first went to ECW, the fans couldn't give a shit about them. But over time the fans came around once they appreciated what they were doing.

But over time the fans came around once they appreciated what they were doing. That distinction of winning the WON means nothing. It's not as if that makes them any less boring. They were boring as hell in ECW and WWF, in Japan, wrestling is looked upon more fondly so guys who are not as great on the mic could get over. In Japan, they might've been all that, but here in the States they were nothing.
