I'm not disputing what the final decision may be. If she's underage, they cheated. If she isn't, they didn't.
Its just that on nearly all the sites I go on, I've seen people (mainly Americans) knock and slate the WHOLE of the Chinese gymnastics team to death. Just don't think it warrants this much anger towards the subject.
Also doesn't help when you have some ignorant morons saying ''Smurf China the cheating smurfers, USA always number 1!!''. Seriously, even if USA get the gold doesn't change the fact that China are owning America in the medals table.

China has 16 more Gold medals than USA, but USA has 13 more overall medals than China. China has 89 total medals, USA has 102.
Also, there is suspicion that China has cheated in more than just gymnastics.

The fact is:
Gymnastics, along with Synchronized Swimming (and Figure Skating), is notoriously a rigged sport.
Every team/nation has its ranking, its "standard" and the judge will ALWAYS take into account WHO is performing in addition to HOW he/she is performing. So an average showing by an established name will get some bonus points, while a better showing by a less established name will get shortchanged.
Olympics are just the most blatant case of "fixing", because that happens for the whole world to see.
Home athletes ALWAYS get a hand and a few points for free. This time was China, as it happened to the Greek gymnast (rings) in Athens, it happened in Atlanta, it happened in Seoul and the list goes on and on.
The problem is: some sort of homeground advantage is expected, some sort of "big name" factor is expected. But this time China pushed it too far.
Female gymnasts tend(ed) to look younger than they actually are, but genetics and training aren't enough to explain how allegedly 16 years old girls look like they're 13...
Hell, one of Sacramone's legs is probably as big and heavy as one of the Chinese girls.
The IOC "investigation" is the usual travesty. Sure Chinese authorities will deny the undeniable and beyond. Just like East Germany and USSR denied doping claims... Now ask to the female ahletes who turned males after a decade of hormons...

If you check the medals table for golds, USA are actually closer to Great Britain than they are to China. Proving China's dominance in these Olympia.

Well if by dominance you mean having a decent amount of medals as a result of some not-so-unbiased judging, then yes, they are dominating.

I remember there being a lot of bias comments around Atlanta 1996, a lot of which ironically was in Gymnastics. There will be the same bias towards the UK in 4 years time. It happens. Doesn't excuse it, but it happens.

Can Great Britain get to 20 Gold Medals today?
Well they have a good chance today in a few events. Best chances are in Boxing (James Degale is fighting Cuba's Emilio Correa for gold in the Middleweight division) and the Men's 4 x 400m Relay Final in which GB has qualified the fastest in (Hopefully they don't drop the baton or one of the runners takes off too early).
Also there is a couple of chances in the Kayak events that Britain has been excelling in that this Olympics. Plus a slight possiblity in the Men's 10m Platform Diving.

I know, I know, it would be kind of weird, but with all the BS going on somethings gotta be done.

I don't care if the girl is 14, she was damn awesome. Out of context, this could ruin me. Not as Awesome as Johnson, Lukin and Sacramone, and some of the European Gymnasts....Well.... We all have our own tastes. They are all incredible. Even Sarcramone and her falling more than Ric Flair.

Yeah, yeah, those cheating Chinese. I really don't care anymore. I'm in awe at the awesomeness of Usain Bolt. Gentlemen, and ladies, remember when we were talking about Michael Phelps being the new Aquaman? I believe we've found the new Flash.

If you check the medals table for golds, USA are actually closer to Great Britain than they are to China. Proving China's dominance in these Olympia. OK, let's take a look at China's "dominance shall we? Chinese gold medals total 47. Gold medals from judged events(Gymnastics/Trampoline/Diving):18 which means gold medals from actual events where you need to score to win: 29 Now for the U.S. gold medals from judged events(gymnastics/Equestrian): 3 Total gold medals from actual competition where you need to score: 28. Difference: 1 Look, I'm not knocking China's accomplishments, only the ones that might not be on the up and up. Like what has been said, if these girls are of age, then disclose the info. It's not like the U.S. is crying sour grapes, there have been Chinese newspapers that listed at least one of these girls as being 13 then lo and behold, that page is gone. Fishy? Of course not. The best thing to do is produce the proper paperwork and make the U.S. look like fools but it's strange they have not. That said, and my beef is more with the women's gymnastics, never have I seen gymnasts straight up fall yet medal. Alicia Sacramone fell and it cost the Americans the gold. Fei Cheng falls and she still beats Sacramone out of a medal. Cheng also fell on her dismount on the beam and beat Pavlova out of a medal. That's 2 falls which to Chinese athletes equaled 2 medals. And you don't find this the least bit strange? I'd understand if it were little glitches in their routine but to fall the F down and still medal? Wha? This is where I have a beef.

Falling down in gymnastics is one of the BIGGEST penalties possible. Hell, in the uneven bars, one of the USA guys was dropped from 100% sure chance of getting Gold to ending up getting Silver just because he BOUNCED a little when he landed at the end of his routine. A fall should screw you out of a medal COMPLETELY.

For once, Olympic officials got a decision right - a British girl got a scoring kick in taekwondo against a Chinese girl, but the judges were homers and didn't give it. We protested the decision and got the decision our way. Now she could be on for a medal... A bronze one.

And we got Gold Medal #19 in the boxing. One more hopefully for a sweet 20. I would like to see that too. But the only chance thats gonna happen is if the only person representing GB wins the Men's Marathon tomorrow. Well 19 is not bad. At least you will finish ahead of Australia which had not happened in many many decades. Edit: And I guess the UK sports minister wins that bet. I checked the schedule and Australia can only possibly win 2 more gold medals.

Jeeze, people and their "Gold Fever", when a person gets a Bronze it's still referred to as "winning" a medal, you know how many people they have to beat to get the chance to even try to win that damn thing?

An Olympic fact: How to get yourself banned for life from the Olympics: This is a member of the Cuban taekwondo team introducing the referee's face to his foot because he was disqualified from his match. He and his coach have been banned for life from the Olympics. My take is, WTF? What would possess someone to do this? Whatever the reason, it's damned funny.
