I absolutely HATE, despise, deplore, loathe, (can you think of any more?) the whole Digital Copy business that it seems damn near every film is released with. It's nothing more than a way to make it a "2 Disc Special Edition!" and jack up the price by $7. Even though, more often than not the second disc is nothing more than the Digital Copy. Does ANYONE actually use these things?

I don't understand the point of this.
Non "Digital Copy" copies can be transferred to any medium anyways.

Yeah, it's definitely a scam by the studios to get more money out of us. They should be giving us a digital copy for free, not charging that much more for it.
And I won't even get into Blu-Ray, the biggest scam of them all.

Got burned with the I Am Legend DVD. The only difference with the 2-disc is the alternate ending, and even then, I could have seen it on You Tube.
It's a huge scam, digital copy means you can play the DVD on your computer.

I would show them how to do things like this but it would be forgotten as soon as I leave. My little brother had a "broken" ipod shuffle. Rather then try to find out how to fix the thing (which I did after erasing all the stuff on it and restoring the factory settings) they bought him a new iPod nano.

I think I might have gotten burned by this with Juno. There may or may not be more on the first disc (I haven't gotten around to actually checking) but the second disc is just the digital copy, I believe.
Now, I have a video ipod, but only because I wanted massive amounts of space for all my music and I assure you, Juno is not going into it. Especially not when I own a portable DVD player that plays regular DVD's on a bigger screen.

It takes like 20 to 25 minutes to copy a DVD to your computer in mp4 format using DVDFab.
I hope that isn't considered promoting piracy.

My "Live Free or Die Hard" DVD has a digital copy, but its on the second disc, and there are lots of special features there already. I do hate this new fad though.

I like the Digital Copy thing either.
I bought the Rambo two disc special edition thinking the second disc would have a lot of extras, but it was a damn digital copy disc.
I was like what the hell?! I'm never going to use this.

I'm never going to use this. You know what I would do? Go to Blockbuster and find a copy of Rambo thats the two-disc version but only contains the first disc. It's well worth it.

The "Previously Viewed" copies of Rambo at Hollywood Video are all just Disc 1 from the two-disc set.
