How many threads created a day is too many? There is no limit, but what does matter is if the number of threads made by a single poster in one day is a quality thread and not randomly spammed nonsense or ridiculous post whore threads.

Would it be okay if I made a thread in off-topic about underrated characters to compliment a thread about overrated characters, or is that kinda pushing it?

You might as well, opposite polarity threads run abundant on the board anyways. If you don't make it someone else is bound to. And thank you for that. It's the opposite polarity threads like that one I'd rather do without.

I was just wondering how one becomes a mod on these forums. A lot of the guys here weren't mods when I started looking through this site (Deadpool, Cornfed, wonka, etc.) but now they are. I was just curious about it.
Thank you for your time, Speed

If I made a thread and posted a link to The Rock's WrestleMania X-8 promo where he made Jonathan Coachman get down on his knees and pray, would it be considered a religous discussion?

If I made a thread and posted a link to The Rock's WrestleMania X-8 promo where he made Jonathan Coachman get down on his knees and pray, would it be considered a religous discussion? Yes, that's fine. 1. No RELIGION/POLITICS - Unless they actually deal with a past or current WRESTLING storyline and even then, please don't take it too far. We do this because there are just too many people who will not see eye-to-eye with you regarding your views, and this avoids arguments that turn ugly. Note the bold part.

Do the mods have some sort of indicator that shows how many strikes a poster has on them?

Do the mods have some sort of indicator that shows how many strikes a poster has on them? If a poster has a "strike" against them, we place a half eaten bowl of spaghetti on their head for easy identification when you go walking by.

Are we allowed to talk about emulators? I mean, is it OK as long as we don't encourage people to download games they don't own?

My understanding of Emulators as regards to legality is that emulators are fine, it's the ROM's that are illegal. I could be wrong, but if that is the case then I think discussion would be fine as long as there are no links to where you can find ROM's. But again, I could be wrong. The gray area is furthered because some emulators are illegal when they require the use of a BIOS. So yeah, it may not be a great idea.

Is it considered to be hostile or somewhat iffy if I add a "rule" to filter out certain responses when I ask a question to begin a thread?

I don't see any problem with it. It's your poll and your thread, you can set the answers you want and all. As long as it's not breaking any rules I don't see a problem.

I can't help but notice the words "fag" and "faggot" are not filtered. I was wondering why. Those are just as bad, sick and disrespectful as the n word, which IS filtered.

Fag is a term used in the uk, what we call cigarettes which is why (If I remember the conversation on it correctly)
And we know that the posters know if the word was used as an insult that we'd be popping in to have a not-so-friendly word lol

So...when I went to read a locked thread, I didn't hit a time warp? No, you did. Oh. Okay, then. So when it comes time to name a new mod, do the existing mods surprise the soon to be with the almighty green name, or was there notification? And also, something that's caught my eye... Most days I notice that your screen name in my sig usually shows up with the name you signed up with, but occasionally, I see the current one(the name in green). Is that a glitch or are you screwing with my sig?

We have to ask them first if they want to be a Mod because some people might not actually want to.
