ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHH (This post will be edited with a Phoenix Wright GIF of a guy scratching his face off when I get home)!!!!!!!!
DEADPOOL MAD! DEADPOOL SMAAAAAAAAASH (AND DASH, EAT IT TITANS!).
I guess being 4th in the NFL in rushing yards (1,229 yds), 1st in the NFL in Yards Per Carry Average (5.5), 3rd in the NFL in rushes of 20+ yards (12), 1st in the NFL in rushes of 40+ yards (5), and 1st in the NFL in Touchdowns (16) isn't enough to get in the All-Star game! I haven't looked at the list yet but I but Kasay didn't get in either despite missing ONE FG all year long and that one was from 52 yards out.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Everyone in this thread is banned! Especially Insomniac for breaking this news to me!

Well Warner should be comfortable. The starting two wideouts are the same starting two wideouts he has been hitting all year.

Actually, it's due to the fact that he turns into a werewolf, like in the movie. That's why the Bucs don't play night games when a full moon's out.

Vince Young and Reggie Bush aren't.
Thanks, draft "experts".

While I am normally one to pick on Reggie Bush, I have to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was hurt all year. Texans still made the best choice though. But that's the knock on Bush, he's seemingly not durable enough to play running back at the professional level, he's not built to be a natural receiver and he's getting paid too much to just be a kick returner. Pierre Thomas, an undrafted player whose making a micro-fraction of what Bush is has 10 more carries, about 150 more yards on the ground and 6 more TDs this season. He just doesn't fit anywhere the Saints seem to want to put him, as he's definitely not an everydown back and you can't split him out on everydown. At the end of the day, he's not a bad player and a lot of teams would like to have someone like him on their team, but Bush came in with a huge amount of hype and is being paid a huge amount of money. His talent warrants a late first/early second round draft pick, as he's very similar to Devin Hester, another player who has an uncanny ability to "spark" a team with his speed and elusiveness in certain situations, but can't be on the field every down (Hester because he's just flat out not bright enough, Bush because he's not durable enough).

He was also hurt at the end of last season. Mario played through a plantar fasciitis injury his rookie year. I mean come on, Reggie is outperformed in the running game by undrafted players every year. In the receiving game, Marques Colston, a 7th round pick (252nd!) outperforms Reggie every year. If anything, he's a great punt returner. The Saints spent 2nd pick money for a punt returner, and the Texans spent the 1st pick on a Pro Bowl DE. And yes, it's the frustration of the endless ridicule by everybody that's being shown here.

Firsthand, I'd like to congratulate the Carolina Panthers on winning homefield advantage throughout the playoffs, for if the Giants come into the Meadowlands and play like they did last night, I can guarantee you the Panthers will win by 20+ points. Secondly, I'd like to know who was the perpetrator behind replacing the Giants offensive line with a slew of cardboard likenesses of Shaun O'Hara, Rich Seubert, David Diehl, Chris Snee and especially Kareem McKenzie. At no point should the 'best offensive line in football' (Which I never believed in the first place) give up eight sacks, and three to a Lawrence Taylor wannabe. Disgusting. It appears that the source of the Giants undoing this year may be the lack of an adjustment. Last season when Ward, Jacobs and half of the defense went down due to injury, both offensive and defensive coaches made adjustments so the team could go on a win the Super Bowl. This time, I see stubbornness in Hufnagel/Coughlin to change a game plan that is sagging horrendously without the offense's two horses, Plaxico Burress & Brandon Jacobs. At this rate, even the Lions could give the Giants a scare... I mean, hell, the Bengals already did. Who knows, maybe when the Giants stop playing 'desperate teams,' the Giants will start playing like they can... which won't be happening since every team into the playoffs are desperate for a win. If you watch the game again, you'll notice two things. First, Greg Ellis and DeMarcus Ware switched sides at a number of times in the game to gain better personnel matchups. In particular, Dave Diehl struggles against speed rushers and Ware has speed to spare. When McKenzie went down and Boothe had to come in, the floodgates basically opened and allowed the Cowboys to do what they wanted. Secondly, the Cowboys also shifted a lot of player, causing Eli to change his blocking assignments at the line of scrimmage more than once on nearly every down and likely caused that much more confusiong amongst the O-Line. Its the inherent issue of playing a team twice in a year. You're right on the adjustments, wrong on the coaching staff. Hufnagel has been long gone from the franchise (thank god) and is ostrasized from the world of the NFL to the bitter tundra of the CFL (where he won a Grey Cup as a Head Coach). The other thing I noticed is that the Cowboys played a lot of Cover 2 and Nickle Press all night, all the while giving the Giants issues with their front seven. How did the Giants respond? A lateral passing game that was mostly ineffective because there was not time for it to develop and a few runs mixed in, without ever comitting to it. Coughlin's offensive strategy has always been a strong, power running game and a vertical offense that takes its chances. That's why Eli Manning's completion % is low, the style of offense he plays in. It seems, however, the coaching staff has a hard time adjusting their gameplan when its clearly not working, as you have games like the Vikings game from last year, etc., where they stick to it, almost out of stubbornness. In Sunday's game, the same thing happened. Dallas' secondary is, to be blunt, not a good unit as a whole. There's individual talent on it, but its health and the overall skillset of its players leaves it an area teams should exploit. That said, the Giants watched them use stunts and pre-snap gimmicks to throw off the offense and basically had the vertical game taken away. Instead of forcing the linebackers to stay honest and mix in a short/intermediate passing game, screens or even comitt to the run, the Giants continued to stay vertical and basically invited Ellis and Ware to meet at Eli Manning's spleen on every down. They can make adjustments and doing so has netted the Giants some pretty good end results (see last year). Its just a question of when they'll do it and if it'll be too late before they finally get the wheels back on.
