Yes, BRV, he is partly responsible for the Jets turn around. Part of a QB's job is to enspire his team, lead them, and make them think they can win. Pennington lost that in New York. The best thing Pennington did was get a change of scenery. It allowed him to start over and re-prove himself. Favre did the same thing for the Jets. The players were energized when he came to the team. The team has faith in themselves now. It's no coincidence that the Packers were 13-3 last year and came so close to the Superbowl, and that the Jets sucked last year. Yet this year, that is completely flip flopped. Like I said, I completely agree with you 100% about Favre not deserving the pro bowl this year. He doesn't. I'm just tired of people down playing what he brings to a team just because of some personal hatred of the guy. . I mean that in general by the way, not nessacarly you. The packers didn't take the down turn due to the QB switch. The defense fell apart and Ryan Grant went into hiding for most of the year. The Jets got better due to all the $$$ they threw around to get added talent.I am confident that with that level of talent Pennington would have done the same or better with the Jets. On a side note, glad to see my fav player Kurt Warner back in the pro bowl!

I didn't say the ONLY reason the Packers went bad is because of Favre leaving, but I refuse to believe it's 100% coincidense that Favre went 13-3 with the Pack last year while the Jets sucked ass. Now the Pack sucks and the Jets are in the hunt with a complete 180 season. Crap like that doesn't happen by accident. There is a leadership and experience that Favre has that Rogers, and Pennington in NY, doesn't. The kind of thing that can lead a team past it's rough parts. Look at Jake Delhomme and the Panthers. They win even when not playing the best ball, because Jake inspires them and can lead them with his expeirence and fire. Is it Rogers fault? No. He'll develop it over time with, well, expierience.

Williams on a previous interveiw with one of the station (FOX, CBS or ESPN) said his favorite wrestler is the Undertaker. Also last week after they scored the TD and were doing the Matrix celebration together the TV announcer said "THEY'RE THE HARDY BOYZ! WWE!" right before going to commerical.

As a Jets fan, I can only say oh s*** here we go again. Some doushebag reporter pesters about the Bret Favre thing at this time of the year every year and Bret just copies and pastes his answer to the question year in year out. I don't think he is gonna hang it up yet. Im happy NY is almost in the playoffs but ive been torn all year about how they got there with Favre on the team. He should of quit with GB.

ESPN just absolutely blew its load in reading that article. So I'm watching the Celtics-Hawks game on ESPN, they have the Sportscenter "Right Now" (the latest news). Guess what the first thing is that they mention... This is gonna be another long offseason

You know, I blame the media for the dumb ass circus that surrounds Favre. Favre has every right to take his time to decide such a thing. It's a major decision, and nothing to scoff at or have a kneejerk reaction to. It's the media that won't let anybody stop hearing about it.
That said, it never bothers me because I just don't read the articles or I flip the channel if it comes up on TV. Infact I usually hear/read more about the Favre retirement circus here on the Crap than anywhere else.

Ya know. I never paid a damned bit of attention to Favre until this year. I'd heard the name and how 'fabulous' he was, but without him playing against the Steelers any time in recent memory he just didn't pop up on my radar. Without doubt, he's an incredible passer, even in his more recent years. He's had a major part in turning the Jets around (NE's lack of video probably didn't hurt them either). That said, it takes more than a phenomenal QB to win Super Bowls. Dan Marino is proof of that.
Would I like to see Favre win a SB ring with the Jets ? Sure.. as long as it doesn't come at the expense of the Steelers.
BTW.. I'm locking this, We're at 30.
