Sorry I would like to vote for D-Will, but Marion Barber, Brandon Jacobs, and Brian Westbrook have been better RBs in my eyes.
If only we could vote for 4 RBs...

D-Will leads the entire NFL in Total TD's (15), is 2nd in the entire NFL for Rushing TD's (13), is 5th in the entire NFL in Rushing Yards (1141) and leads the entire NFL in Yards Per Carry (5.4).
I don't see how those guys are any better. On top of that D-Will is doing all this while have the league leading back up rusher (699 yds, 8 TDs for J-Stew) as well. Which means there is another guy there able to take plays away from him at any given moment.

I still like my subheadline: "Doing It For Marty's Torso" a lot better.

Anyone hear Joey Porter's comments? He's really lost it this time.

Reason is, while D-Will is a good player, he's just a piece of his team's offense. The Panthers have not single handedly relied on him to win games for them.
The Giants, Eagles, and Cowboys all pulled out wins thanks to their workhorse running backs. D-Will only helped secure the Panthers some wins, not single handedly carried them to victory.
D-Will just suffers from being in the conference with too many good running backs. If he was on a team in the AFC, he'd easily make the Pro Bowl, however, as I struggled to voted for 3 AFC running backs....they suck that much.

This isn't MVP voting, Koda, It's All-Star voting. It doesn't matter if you're the only good player on your team or one of ten great players. When you rank that highly on all the stats, you deserve to go to the probowl.
What D-Will really suffers from is being from a "small market team" and not bringing a media circus to himself.

You defending D-Will by posting his stats is a defense for league MVP. All-Star is based on fan opinions, and in opinion Jacobs, Barber, and Westbrook have done better than Williams. You, being a Panthers fan, would of course vote for the star back of the Panthers, it would be stupid not to. Also, how the hell did you get "MVP voting" from my post? It has nothing to indicate that at all. I rather see players that carried teams to victory in the all-star games over players with impressive stats. Now, if a player with impressive stats just happened to also carry their team to victory, then I'll vote for them, but not once this year has the Panthers needed Williams' skill to get them a win.

I'll go out on a limb and say that Williams, Smith, Beason, Peppers and a couple offensive linemen should all go to the Pro Bowl.

Steve Smith(CAR) is easily going to the Pro Bowl. One of the best wide outs in the league.
Also, why is it that there are two pairs of players with the same name and belong to the same conference?
We have 2 Steve Smiths and 2 Adrian Petersons....to make matters worse, both Petersons play in the same division!

I'm not saying you were saying you're voting for MVP. I'm saying your logic is more applicable to an MVP situation. Going by your logic Dallas shouldn't have had like 13 or whatever Pro-Bowlers last year because no one guy would have been any more important than another guy.
I'm not using fan conjecture to say Williams has been better than most, if not all, of the other backs. I'm using solid statistical facts. If this was 7 weeks ago I would have never even brought up Williams. I would have said Portis all the way and a few others. My fandom isn't what is driving me to think Williams deserves to go to the Pro Bowl. My fandom is what irks me when he gets ignored however.

As someone who has watched every Panther game this year if De angelo Williams did not exist the Panthers would not only be NOT be leading the NFC South but most likely be a borderline wild card team. Anyone who discredits Williams hasn;t watched him, period.

Biafra makes a point as well. D-Will IS a vital cog to this offense. At one point for two weeks in a row we threw for under 100 yards and STILL won the games. Thanks to D-Will.

As long as they have those two guys the Panthers will ALWAYS be a contender to lead the NFC South. Also I'm not discrediting him at all, I'm just saying the Panthers don't actually need him to win. Having him just further assures that they will win. Honestly the NFC should give some of their running backs to the AFC, as the AFC REALLY needs running backs.

We were never "Doing fine with Stewart". Stewart was never the main back. It's hard to be doing fine with someone that was never the featured back.

I guess they won those first two wins Steve was suspended by magic then. Honestly man..I watch the games' De angelo is THE most important offensive factor as far as wins go this year. John beason is his counterpart on defense..both are team MVP's this year.

New York Giants' home game against the Carolina Panthers in Week 16 has been moved to Sunday Night Football on NBC, giving the Giants two SNF games in a row.

Got Stewart on my fantasy team because I couldn't picked my own players, and he alone has won me several games. I prefer Stewart to Williams. Besides, Stewart was doing just fine against the Bucs last night. He dealt enough damage to the Bucs D that allowed Williams to run over them.

He is a good player on a team full of good players. One reason he's not getting major attention is the rest of the team around him is so good that he just doesn't stand out(unless you look at his stats, and most football fans don't). He'd be more famous to the common football folk if he was on a team that either isn't as good as the Panthers or a team that really needs a running back.
