That's all "What if". That has nothing to do with "What is". That's pure speculation that can't be measured. Like I said before, we can play the what if game all day long but that doesn't solve anything. The fact is, Barber has not been as good as D-Will this year. Rather that's because of talent, the O-Line, the team, the weather, their health or the alignment of the universe is irrellevent.

It is basically a game where the most popular players of the season meet. Plus I kind of feel bad for the players who play in the Pro Bowl. Instead of being done with everything until the summer training camps they have to play yet again.

www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/reiss_pieces/2008/12/tedy_bruschi_im.htmlSo Tedy Bruschi is out for the remainder of the regular season with a knee injury. That currently sets the Patriots IR at: Eric Alexander, Tom Brady, Tedy Bruschi, Shawn Crable, Rodney Harrison, Laurence Maroney, Ryan O'Callaghan, Adalius Thomas, Terrence Wheatley and Tank Williams. And yet this team is still contending for a division championship, which says a LOT about the front office and coaching staff for the New England Patriots. Also, does anyone know if Ted Johnson or Chris Slade are available and looking to get back into football?

I guess, I would just like to see D-Will get the recognition he deserves more then anything. I'm not really concerned about the Pro Bowl itself. It's just nice to know people know what he's doing for us.

Gee thanks nbc blow job the Giants more. Right, because this game has nothing to do with the two best teams in the NFC meeting with home-field advantage on the line.

Stupid question..... Do you think the Lions will pull off the Zero Win season? For as much as I make fun of them, I can't even quite fathom a team that bad. I mean, they still have good players and all, barring everything else, you would think that at least once throughout the year, they would play another team that just had a bad day. (Nice run-on sentence) But they don't have many chances left. These are the last 3 games: @ Indianapolis Colts New Orleans Saints longgonespidersilva Bay It's not looking good.

Here comes the antic NY Giants posts Nah, I wouldn't say so. There is always going to be someone saying something like that. The fact is this game is looking to be huge. It could determine who the number one team in the NFC is. NBC is just making the logical desicion. Between Monday's big game against the Bucs and the coming SNF game with the Giants I just hope my Panthers don't let all that exposure go to their heads.

So I see a commercial for ESPN airing an "HD" remastered and color version of the "greatest game" of the Giants vs the Colts OT game.
Why bother colorizing it and is HD basically airing it in the format it was filmed in?

On DeAngelo, he does deserve to be a pro bowler, but there are so many backs in the NFC having big years; Peterson,Turner, and Portis are all having big years, and you'll have the Chicago fans voting for Forte and the New Yorkers voting for Jacobs.
And I saw Otah mentioned, there has been great rookie OT play. My boy Jake Long has exceeded all expectations in Miami and last I checked was the leading vote getter for AFC OTs. Ryan Clady has been money for Denver, and the Falcons are a better team when Sam Baker plays. Carolina has to be thanking god for how their season has gone after they gave up a first rounder to get Otah.

Carolina has to be thanking god for how their season has gone after they gave up a first rounder to get Otah. While I'm sure they are thankful, as am I, I'm pretty sure John Fox had an idea of what this team was capable of (cabable of!). After all even last year when we had to use like 5 QB's, including one of the sorriest I've ever seen play the game, we still ended up 7-9 and not that far out of the playoffs. I'm sure with the offseason additions from both free agency, the draft and Jake getting healthy he felt confident. It still was a gamble though, but it's looking good so far. Speaking of all these rookies, is it just me or is this one of the better rookie classes in a while? I mean Stewart, Johnson, Forte, Slaton, Ryan, Otah, Flacco, Long, and it goes on and on. Hell even on the Panthers one rookie that gets lost in the shuffle that has been doing pretty good is Charles Godfrey who is our starting Free Safety.

I can't believe it either. I sat through the 1-15 San Diego story back in 2000 and the 1-15 Miami story last year and everyone said they would lose em all. Both teams won their single game of the season in the final 4 or 5 weeks. If the Lions go winless it won't have the same long term mythology of the Bucaneers season.

When I was looking up the remaining games for the Lions, I noticed they went undefeated in preseason. If they go perfect 0-16, that would make it all the more unique. They could very well become the icon of Sports Futility for years to come.
