That was the most boring match I've seen. Ever.

He'll last longer than that. He's a big guy that can actually wrestle. He's a good find and a natural heel.

I just had this crazy idea that HHH/Kozlow match was boring on purpose to make Edge's return more dramatic.

He needs a manager and this where you could have used a guy like Matt Striker.
But for some reason WWE has something against managers.

That was the most boring match I've seen. Ever. You guys don't know what good storytelling is. Kozlov dominated the match by using his superior mat wrestling. He wrestled his style the entire match on the mat and did a very good job. I really liked it. Seriously, I think wrestling fans these days have no understanding of storytelling and good wrestling...

More like they think the storyline got in the way of good wrestling, I'm guessing.

I think that's the last time we're going to see him anywhere near a high-level feud.
Bottle that match up, and you could sell it as a cure for insomnia.
You could tell that even the announcers knew the match stunk to high heaven. They did their best to try to sell it anyway, but after a short while, even they basically just gave up.
Taking Jeff out of that match was the absolutely dumbest thing they could do.
Edge joining the match and winning saved the ending, but shouldn't he have been interfering in the Undertaker/Big Show match? And why is he back with Vickie? Shouldn't they be feuding since he tried to screw the wedding planner? Then again, WWE and continuity never went well together.
But going back to Kozlov........he's done. They built him up. He's served his purpose. And after that abortion of a match, a severe de-pushing is almost guaranteed. That was 15 minutes of my life lost that I'll never get back. I never thought I'd see the day where HHH couldn't carry someone to a watchable match.
Awful, just awful.

I've been watching wrestling for twenty seven years or so. I KNOW GOOD WRESTLING, and that match WASN'T it.

I didn't see the match, but would one be surprised. It's not his fault. How long has the guy been wrestling. He was brought into the US by friends of Jerry Jarrett, he wanted to be a wrestler, and Jarrett suggested him to Vince McMahon after getting a feel for him, his look, and his potential (this was after Jarrett wanted Jeff and Dixie to use him, but they didn't want to spend the money on training and using him, even though Jerry Jarrett was going to train him, and the people Kozlov knew were extremely rich and potentially looking to invest in TNA if the Carters pulled out).
So he started just for a few years, and they expect him to be main eventing matches. I didn't see the match, but whether I did or not is irrelevant. Kozlov can't be good and can't put on good main event matches, based on the fact that he simply doesn't have the experience. People like Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar are the exception, not the rule.

I've seen plenty of mat based wrestlers THOUROUGHLY entertain me with no spotmonkey antics from either guy. This match was slow paced, and didn't work to HHH's strengths as Kozlov was pummeled but no sold everything, and his own offense just did NOT seem to wear HHH down. It was a back and forth of no noticeable energy, stalemates, while exciting in the realm of mexican standoffs, are rarely entertaining in wrestling when two guys are trading rather uninspired offense.
I CAN say maybe it was booked to be pretty damn boring to enhance Edge and Hardy's run in.

The only good thing about this match was Edge's reuniting with Vickie, so that when Edge goes over both HHH and Jeff Hardy, a returning Mr. Kennedy can finally come back for vengeance for the MitB thievery and reload the Kennedy/Regal feud, with Vickie taking Regal's place.

And I NEVER bitch about HHH matches. Ever.

Someone said in the official SS thread that it's possible that they never intended Jeff Hardy to be a part of the match in the first place, but knew that Koslov/HHH wouldn't sell on its own, so they put Jeff's name on the card as part of a pseudo-"Bait and Switch" tactic, which they can get away with because they can abuse the "card subject to change" clause. Of course, we'll never know, but I wonder if there's at least *some* truth to it.
If there is a silver lining, I think we've seen the last of Koslov in the main event. Like I said above, even the announcers gave up trying to sell the match and acknowledged how awful it was (well, as much as they could, anyway).
When the *announcers* start crapping all over a match, you know it's pretty bad. After that performance, I can't see him as part of any main event again, even if it's got multiple participants to cover up his shortcomings. The guy simply isn't main event material.
People crap all over Khali's lack of wrestling ability, but let's face it........Even Khali's performances were better than that. That was just awful.

I really enjoyed the Mat Wrestling. It never happens anymore and was something different that I really enjoyed. I just dont think most fans from today can understand that type of style.

Im sorry wrestling purists, but if I wanna watch mat wrestling I will watch MMA or Amateur. I watch professional wrestling for the showmanship and theatrics of the match.

Why is everyone blaming Kozlov for that match? I blame HHH and Hardys inability to dodge a blunt object
