The fans in the arena crapped on it because Hardy wasn't there. It wasn't that bad of a match overall. It was slow, no doubt. It had some good mat wresling though.

The WWE fans don't like to see a whole match of mat wrestling though. I think mat wrestling is cool, but let's face it, it does get pretty boring to see the same stuff over and over. I headlock you You break out and headlock me I break out and gain control over you I slip into side control and hold you in an armbar for 3 mins Crowd falls asleep... Mat wrestling is a fundamental part of wrestling, but it's just not WWE. Most matches are fast-paced and full of energy, chain headlocks is not energetic it makes me wanna take a nap (I'm looking at you Orton).

That was the most boring match I've seen. Ever. You guys don't know what good storytelling is. Kozlov dominated the match by using his superior mat wrestling. He wrestled his style the entire match on the mat and did a very good job. I really liked it. Seriously, I think wrestling fans these days have no understanding of storytelling and good wrestling... Thank you, I really liked the match and it really drew me in. Next thing I know the entire board hated it.

I thought the match was ok, but I enjoy old style mat wrestling. Maybe I just enjoyed it more because Hardy was out of it and wouldn't be winning the title.

It seems to me that most of the people that liked the match liked it partly because Jeff wasn't in it. Let's face it, the crowd hated the match, the "boring" and "we want Hardy" chants proved that. Kozlov was not ready to be in the title hunt just because he's undefeated, and he most certainly doesn't deserve a title reign more than Jeff does. Umaga should come back as a face and feud with Kozlov. WWE pushed him way too fast.

I just had this crazy idea that HHH/Kozlow match was boring on purpose to make Edge's return more dramatic. I thought that too. If it wasn't arranged that way, then it certainly worked well enough.

You want good mat wrestling, see Angle vs. Benoit RR 03. Compare the two matches...then tell me the match last night was good mat wrestling.
I am not sure whose idea it was to push Koslov this fast, but it was ill advised. I cannot really blame him since he has no control over his push. They threw him out there and he was exposed.
EDIT: and if the match was purposely booked to be boring just to enhance Edges return, that is an even stupider decision. Who would think it is a good idea to purposely book a boring WHC match on PPV? Save that kind of crap for free TV if you are going to do it.

I don't know how long he'll last, but if this was his first real shot at a major match (depending on if you count the Taker SD match) he failed. Failed miserably. Had Edge not come out followed by Jeff, this would have been my worst match of the year in WWE. Given the build and importance, nothing else comes close. Still may be, really.

He needs a manager and this where you could have used a guy like Matt Striker. But for some reason WWE has something against managers. He needs a talker.

Kozloff should have just thrown Triple H around for 10 minutes instead of bearhugging and waistlocking him to death.

Hardy either needs a talker or needs to go "The Crow" Sting route of not talking.

Hardy either needs a talker or needs to go "The Crow" Sting route of not talking. No offense but have you seen his promos the past 2 weeks? They have been really good. They had a dark and powerful feel to them. Back to the topic: it was a slow match, which is different from what WWE normally provides us. but it wasn't really that bad of a match though. it would have been better with Jeff Hardy in it....Edge's return helped though. as for over/under on Koslov....I don't think he will get released anytime soon.

Hardy being out of the picture was just a bonus.

For those thinking that Kozlov is going to slide down the card now, today they aired a commercial for an upcoming Smackdown main event in late January of a triple threat for the WWE title between Jeff Hardy, HHH, and Kozlov. Yeah, the card can be subject to change, but I doubt it will be a case of dropping him instantaneously.

So he started just for a few years, and they expect him to be main eventing matches. I didn't see the match, but whether I did or not is irrelevant. Kozlov can't be good and can't put on good main event matches, based on the fact that he simply doesn't have the experience. People like Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar are the exception, not the rule. Bingo. I think if I were a promoter I would be tempted to jump the gun with Koslov too, just for his size and ring presence, but that doesn't make him ready.

I never thought I'd see the day where HHH couldn't carry someone to a watchable match. Heh?

Wow. So it's all Kozlov's fault it was a bad match? And why is this? Because he's not DE GAME! HE NOT THAT DAMN GOOD! Triple H's track record must give him a free pass with some people. Not me, though. Not me. Just as much his fault as it was Kozlov's, if not more.

Wow. So it's all Kozlov's fault it was a bad match? And why is this? I thought H sold for Kozlov as well as he could. I don't know what more he could have done than he did. I like Kozlov, I really do, but if this is what I have to come to expect from him in a long match then he needs a couple of YEARS more work before he's ever main eventing again. Waistlock of snorking doom ... my god. It was like it never ended. Seemed like the entire thing moved in slow motion. That isn't good mat wrestling, that match was moving around on the mat trying to get something done that was never there.
