JBL is such a douchebag. He's always ribbing and picking on guys half his size. He's a snobby, stuck up, George W.- esque piece of crap Hey, wait a minute. That 1984 story George Wells made was pretty cool. Anyway, about the tickets thing. The Blue Meanie's main issue that he originally had with JBL was he had a first class plane ticket bought for him, and he didn't give it up to somebody else, which is seen as the right thing to do. There was an incident involving Raven, Bill Demott, Christian Cage and Albert on a plane one time. There was a first class update. Albert wanted the seat, but Raven felt that he wasn't in the business that long, but Albert said it was because he was big. Christian Cage also tried to block Raven from getting the seat, and to get it himself. Bill Demott then lost it on the plane, yelling at Christian, talking about how Raven was in the buisness for 15 years and he deserves the seat. Eventually, Raven got the seat and he and Christian are good friends, but Bill was extremely angered by the lack of respect a veteran was shown. Raven also wanted to give Bill the seat because he was in the business longer, but Bill just wanted to make a point. Raven also felt that, despite being in the business longer then a lot of people on the roster, he felt disrespected a lot because he was lower on the card. If Billy Silverman bought the ticket, then that's one thing, though that's the first time I heard of it. And on the Palmer Cannon thing, I feel I'm not a JBL apoligist, but let's look at it this way. What if the guy got over huge. What if he became a top guy, and had the potential to make the company a lot of money, and then couldn't take it and quit. Then, he screws the whole company. JBL, for the most part, will test guys to see if they can handle the pressure on the road, and if you pass the test, then you're fine. Besides, what's the rule when anyone pulls a rib. Don't sell it. Because if you sell it, then people will continue to do it, and it will be never ending. That's what happened with Chad Dick of the Dicks. The issue with going against guys like Joey Styles and Lillian Garcia is this. They won't draw money. If they leave the company, it won't be that big of a deal. But, if a guy who gets picked on, no sells it, and stays around, and draws money, he's more likely to stay. If a guy doesn't get it, draws money and cracks, he hurts everyone else in the process. And about JBL throwing ice on Lillian Garcia, it's not like JBL doesn't get ribbed either. Miz ribbed him last year, which is probably why JBL hated him so much on commentary. And Charlie Haas one time threw a bucket of freezing cold water on him after he got out of the shower. It's a catch 22 certainly. Respect is important, because without JBL, that bottom guy can't draw money, because he doesn't have a hot heel who could help draw money. But, with JBL, without that bottom guy, he has nobody to beat. So, respect is extremely important. The reason why schools used to run the crazy drills was because they wanted to see what you were willing to do to be a wrestler. Now, any bozo can be a wrestler, because any indy guy who's popular on the internet can train people because they think they know something. Does JBL go too far? I think he does at times. I think at times his intentions maybe good, but he also does have a bad drinking problem. When I put up shoots of guys talking about JBL, it was usually positive. But, depending on the situation, he can either be a guy trying to protect the business, or he can be a major asshole, and hurt the buisness. Thats what I said if they can't take a little bit of Backstage Assholery then how are you going to stay around long enough to do anything?

So wait, Joey Styles jumped on his back and punched him while he wasn't looking? So much for the IWC's underdog hero. This is amusing, Joey can't win either way, I would like to imagine every single one of you going all crazy over JBL going to work tomorrow and some guy just ripping into your family. A guy who's been there longer and is on good terms with the boss. I'm sure you wouldn't complain, not at all, you deserve it for being hired right?

Just a Boring Log got his ass handed to him by Joey Styles? Can't say I'm surprised. Just a Boring Log is the kind of person who never had discipline to begin with (remember the WWE German show where he goose stepped in front of the crowd??). Joey Styles had my respect before, but now I admire the guy for standing up to a bully who deserved far more worse than he got. And WWE deserves to be embarassed, when you let individuals like this do what ever the hell they want, it comes back to bite them in the ass.

If someone had filmed that it would ruin JBL's career pretty much. The internet never forgets. However, good for Joey. That's how to deal with bullies. The cheesy "Just a Big Loser" signs still seem to have some truth in it. Man, I thought my "Just a Boring Log" was horrible on JBL, but "Just a Big Loser" fits him even better. - bretclark

So Joey is a back fighter, what a pussy Would YOU punch JBL in the face? Not when his back is turned. If you have a problem with someone you tell it to there face and if the situation gets physical then it gets physical. This reminds me of the stories of when the fabulous Rogues blindsided Dynamite Kid. That was a very pussy move on Joeys part.

Would you take a swing at someone his size in a proper fight?

Its still a cowardly act no matter the circumstances.

Its still a cowardly act no matter the circumstances. We don't know what led up to the "snap". It's just as likely that they were jawing at each other JBL turned a way to leave and said maybe one thing too many. Like "I don't have time for this, I have to go smurf your wife". Then and attack from behind could be justified. No?

And I'm a JBL fan.

I'd really like to know what actually happened, as opposed to all this "it was this, it was that" jibber-jabber from the news sites. And, I like the idea of Haas throwing cold water on JBL in the shower; kinda doubt JBL would try anything with Charlie.

This is JBL's problem. If he act like an adult and a professional, he wouldn't be KO'ed or backjumped by an announcer. Plain and simple. It ok to rib and joke around, but you can go to far with it. Fighting over airplane seats is childish anyway. If you want first class, beat someone to buying a ticket first. Are people so childish they act as if they are kindergardeners or what? They should be role models for kids, not kids throwing hissy fits over airline seats and drunken fits. Who agrees with me?

Am I the only one that kinda thinks this is a work?
I mean, think about it...JBL was recently an announcer, Joey is best known as an announcer for ECW which JBL hates, in kayfabe at least. Doesn't this all seem just a little too perfect?

If it was something unrelated to the Tribute to the Troops, maybe I could see the JBL/Styles thing as a possible storyline. But the Tribute is Bradshaw's baby, right? He was interviewed by the mainstream press about it. He's even played the role of good guy during the program itself (when he dressed up as Santa and attacked Chris Masters). I doubt the WWE would mess with the image they're trying to put out over this by having JBL act like a drunken bully. Its far more likely he took it upon himself to be a drunken bully.
