Was I the only one rooting for Kurt Russell in the movie? I mean, he's such a bad ass. He kills people with his awesome indestructible car, has a scar, and is just so freakin cool!
Instead, a bunch of girls who spend an hour talking about nonsense and boring me to tears get to whoop his ass at the end.
I wished he drove into them and knocked them off a cliff, and got to keep on going on killing people.
That would have been awesome.
IMO.

Nope, you weren't the only one. I agree with you. By the end of that movie, those girls had bored and annoyed me so much that I just wanted him to kill them. I was hoping that at the end it would be revealed that all that cowardace was an act and he was making them think they were winning and leading them somewhere like a cliff where they'd all fall off and he'd be the only one to live.
Unfortunatly I just got even more annoyed when they beat the hell out of what I thought was supposed to be the return of badass Kurt Russell.
I hated the ending of Death Proof.
I get friends all the time start saying "But Tarintino was going for this...", "He was trying to do this...", "The point of it was this...". I'm like, I get what he was trying to do. I get it. I just hate it.

I was pulling for him the whole time.I love Kurt Russell, and Stuntman Mike was a total badass.
In my opinion, Death Proof was Tarantino's worst movie.I still loved it, but it's still his worst.

More movies should end with a hot stuntgirl beatdown. Like Frost/Nixon.

Well, screw them because your opinion is right.

At least the car chase scene is boss. The rest of the movie minus Russell sucked huge though.
It was funny though to see him get beat down by Valley girls.

I'm a big Kurt Russell mark, but I loved the ending since it was done in typical Grindhouse fashion. A good chunk of the money spent on the car chases and ending that was seemingly shot haphazardly.
Plus, it was the expected "feel good" finish and I think anything else would've been a bad move, really. It was the type of movie you should've seen the ending coming from the moment the second set of girls showed up.

I dislike this film for long boring talking scenes that had nothing to do with the main plot.
I know it's kind of Tarantino's thing but it just did work in this film. I glad now Tarantino did not get to direct Casino Royale.

The long talking parts with the girls were reminiscent of many actual "grindhouse" movies. Not saying that's entertaining or anything, but that was pretty common.
