If anybody's interested, I had this dream last night where a number of deceased baseball legends were resurrected and played an exhibition game aganst current stars. Babe Ruth hit three home runs, including one right-handed, and all of them off of Johan Santana.

Mike DiFelice announced his retirement Thursday and will manage the Mets' rookie-ball team this season. Thank god. I was getting sick of that dude wasting a roster space every September. If anybody's interested, I had this dream last night where a number of deceased baseball legends were resurrected and played an exhibition game aganst current stars. Babe Ruth hit three home runs, including one right-handed, and all of them off of Johan Santana. I think ya gotta lay off the Taco Bell for awhile ;D

Once again the Rangers show their ineptitude in signing people. I thought Nolan Ryan was gonna improve this team? What can he do, he's got an owner who's cheaper then a 10 cent hooker, and a GM who's unestablished and young thus is afraid to ask the owner for anything because he knows the second he's fired here, he probably won't get another GM job anytime soon. It's not Nolan's fault, he asked for pitching, he wanted Sheets or Randy Johnson or anybody pretty much. But cheapskate can't spring for anyone who would want more then a minor league deal or veteran's minimum. Nolan just has to work with who he has now.

I love Nolan, but if I were him I would quit instead of risking my reputation with a horrible owner. He doesn't need the Rangers; the Rangers need him. But until Hicks sells the team, he should seriously consider stepping down.

Has anyone tried the MLB Front Office Manager game yet? I was going to ask for it for my Birthday next month but have seen some really bad reviews of it and was wondering if anyone here had any experience with it.

Well, hopefully, the Show will be good(that is, if you have a PS3)

But until Hicks sells the team, he should seriously consider stepping down. It was my dream that if he couldn't buy the Cubs, then Mark Cuban would convince Tom Hicks to sell the Rangers to him. But it was made clear during the Cubs proceedings that the baseball people don't want Cuban owning a team. At least with him, the Rangers would pry open the old pocket book on occasion. I can't believe how fortunate the Stars are. Hicks is just as cheap with them, but their minor league system keeps turning out decent players and keeps them at playoff level. Hicks hasn't really spent money on them since he signed Brett Hull. Just nobody notices because they manage to stay at a decent level.

MLB.com reports that the Dodgers and free agent Randy Wolf are believed to be close to a deal.

Well, hopefully, the Show will be good(that is, if you have a PS3) Yes, I've seen nothing but HORRIBLE reviews for the game (more or less a "THAT'S ALL I CAN DO?!?" affect. I'm getting it off Gamefly, I'll let you know as soon as I receive it and try it out. Why is there a freaking achievement for winning the World Series for teams like Colorado, Kansas City, and Houston, but none for Cleveland? Helll, even the CUBS get a (well deserved) achievement...

Babe Ruth hit three home runs, including one right-handed, and all of them off of Johan Santana. It's the reason I try to unlock as many legends that I can in the Show. There's a cheat code you can use to unlock all of them. But I actually unlocked all of them without using the cheat. What I did was unlock a couple of guys and saved it to a roster slot, but not to my profile. That way the points you get will be back on your profile the next time you load the roster, and you can keep unlocking that way until you've got them all. Between Cooperstown Legends, Create-A-Player, and bumping up stats of players to their in-their-prime abilities, I've created some real badass lineups. Teams like the Yankees, Red Sox, Pirates, Giants, and Cardinals have nearly Hall-of-Fame lineups.

That reminds me, Bill Pulsipher was pitching in the Caribbean World Series last night. He's still pitching? Didn't he have a nervous breakdown not that long ago?
