I hate to see how you all react to 'Fight Club', which is suppose to cause homoerotic feelings, apparently.

It'd be interesting to see Moore's take on it. I feel he had justification in hating V,LXG, and From Hell.. but they did him proud with this.
A shame he'll never see it. At least Gibbons got recognized.

The movie was good, I didn't like it, but I can see why other people would, but can you honestly think Moore would be happy with this with all the things that were changed and taken out?

I kinda get why they used a "Desolation Row" by My Chemical Romance in the end, but, I dunno, listening to the original right now, I think they f***ed up. I mean, yeah, it's like 11 minutes long, but, it beats the shit out of that abortion they call a cover!

No need for the rollyeyes sir, I didn't say HE'D be proud of it, just that it'd be interesting to his take.. I'm fairly sure he'd still hate it; the point I was trying and apparently failing to make is this one was much closer to his work than the others and they did the spirit of his work proud. But touche, I'm sure you're right.

Alan Moore's an odd cat, to say the least. Me and my friend had like a 10 minute discussion about whether he'd like this one, assuming the aforementioned V Debaccle, and we both agreed he might, but at this point, he's probably so jaded, he mainly sticks to "the telly"

I mean, yeah, it's like 11 minutes long, but, it beats the excretory matter out of that abortion they call a cover! I still don't see what was so wrong with the cover. Sure, it's nothing like the original in any way...but what's the point of a cover if you make it sound exactly like the original song? That's just boring.

It's not so much the cover, per se, it's more what they covered. I mean, that "Times They Are A Changing" song made it in, why couldn't they have just left it alone? I'd imagine "Joe Moviegoer" would've probably walked out by Doctor Manhattan crotch shot #1999, so why not?

That IS cool. Thomas and Martha Wayne, eh? Never would have picked that up, though it's being debated as to whether that was really THEM or it was just meant to evoke them.

I don't think he dislikes the films because they change stuff, though. I think he doesn't like it because the themes he's going for tend to get lost in the spectacle, which is a valid criticism of even Watchmen, to some degree. and EVERYONE hated LOEXG. and whether the song was good or not (not my thing), I felt the song in the closing credits was kinda jarring and felt out of place.

That wasn't the only place the music was jarring at....there were times when it literally jolted me, it was so out of place/suddenly loud.

Well, I liked LOEXG, probably cause I never heard of the novel it was based off of and that I liked the people in it.

That's the least scary pic of Moore I've ever seen.
