Nope, Toronto's out so they've got nothing to lose so they could end up beating the hell out of us. I hope not, because we're securing out spot for the playoffs but you never know. We all know how predictable the Habs are lately.
Funny how we're not hearing anything else about the sale. Hmm.

Yeah, 'mysterious' that. Perhaps they want to psyche the League by keeping all financial matters somewhat hush-hush? They probably need Dryden to help them with that - isn't he in that MasterCard commercial after all?

Well, if we're going to rely on a commercial actor thank god it's Dryden and not Crosby!

That's pretty good. I like Thomas and I think he's helped quite a lot. I just hope that he doesn't drop in quality like some goaltenders/players do when they sign a contract. It drives me nuts seeing that.

It drives me nuts seeing that. I love it. Thomas is in a lot of people's minds as the frontrunner to win the vezna trophy this year I dont see a major drop off coming from him as he's been pretty solid for the last few years Plus, the other factor is that Tukka Rask is their goalie of the future. Thomas being around another 3 years is likely also going to help ease him into the number 1 goalie slot when he is ready.

Problem is, how will you feel about him when Montreal bounces you guys from the playoffs?

The question there is if it actually gets to that point. ;D But I wouldn't blame it on him though.

Devils losing 1-0. Can't blame Brodeur this time, they actually benched him.

Holy hell in high water the Devils won a game. Here's to getting the ball rolling the right way right before the playoffs.
And Panthers lost to Hotlanta.... what the hell Florida.

The Bruins are now one point (or a Washington loss of any kind) from clinching the #1 seed. Nobody could have imagined that at the beginning for the year. Claude = god (or coach of the year...same thing )

A list of all the free excretory matter that Brodeur got during the ceremony yesterday.
NHL commissioner Gary Bettman then presented Brodeur with a large picture frame that included copies of the official scoresheets from his first NHL game on March 26, 1992 and his record-breaking, 3-2 victory over Chicagoon March 17. Game-used pucks from each of those games were also inside the frame. Bettman also gave Brodeur a Tiffany crystal with a picture of the goaltender making a save etched inside.
In addition, the NHL plans to dedicate a plaque commemorating Brodeur’s record in Martin Brodeur Arena in the Montreal suburb of St. Leonard, where Brodeur grew up.
Devils owners Jeff Vanderbeek and Mike Gilfillan presented Brodeur with a painting that depicts him at various stages of his career and another larger painting of Broduer. They also gave Brodeur a sterling silver goaltender's stick from Tiffany engraved with Brodeur's No. 30 and the number 552.
Finally, Brodeur's teammates -- represented by captain Jamie Langenbrunner, alternate captains John Madden, Patrik Elias (in a suit) and Colin White -- gave Brodeur a gift basket with golf balls, wine and a four-night, three-round golf trip to Pebble Beach in California.
What is with the Devils always giving people paintings? The silver goalie stick was the best thing there.

Rags lose and Tim Thomas throws a few punches. Fun ending and the way everyone was getting hurt it felt like that was the MO before they faced each other as possible first round matchup.
Tim Thomas looks like Drew Carey.

Sean Avery is a little bitch Of all games for Shawn Thornton to get injured before. You don't see very many goalies going after forwards, but Tim Thomas doesn't take any s***. I still watch the video from the Dallas/Boston line-brawl, just to see Thomas standing up at the blue-line challenging Turco.
