Great clip. Love it.
By the by, I'm beginning to think that the Sharks passed their flu bug on to the Devils after that 6-5 game they had last week. Devils have looked sluggish as hell since that game. Well, they have four days off, then Marty's back, so I think they'll live.

Yeah, the Penguins were humbled today. Uh.. yeah, they were the hottest team in the league on a huge winning streak. Most of the teams in the league have been unable to beat the Pens this season. Our stellar defense and brick wall of a goalie haven't let anyone score. Yep, major accomplishment by the Caps alright

Canes win. Caps win making the Canes 1 point out of a spot held between 3 teams at 68 The race to organize spots 5-8 in the East is going to be insanely fun to watch. The only other real race there's going to be, possibly, is Devils/Flyers, if Philly can take advantage of the three games they have in hand on NJ. Other than that, yeah, the race between the three division leaders may end up tight (and catching Boston is no longer a pipe dream), but, obviously, not one of the three leaders is going to do anything crazy in a bid to leapfrog the others, while the poor souls fighting for 5-8 are going to be fighting tooth and nail.

and yet the rags still lose to them. Yeah and if it was a good team they would not have gotten a point

So the Bruins just finished a 1-3-1 road trip and their lead on the Capitals has been cut down to seven. They need a scorer at the trading deadline if they want to be considered a legitimate threat going into the playoffs. Eric Cole and Keith Tkachuk seem like the most viable, cost-effective options (i.e. it wouldn't cost Kessel, Krejci or Lucic), and the Bruins seem enamored with both.
I hope the B's keep Fernandez. I'd rather have the Bruins have two top goalies for the postseason, as opposed to having Tuukka Rask walk into every game as Thomas' backup. If the Carolina Hurricanes' run in 2006 proved anything, its that you need a good backup goalie in case something goes horribly wrong with your starter.
That being said, the Bruins look gassed. Guys like Krejci, Wheeler, Kessel and Lucic are all young and are playing the most games they've played in a single NHL season. The offense also needs Michael Ryder back as soon as possible, as he was the straw that stirred the drink on the second line.
Hopefully the Bruins make the right moves next Thursday and not a panic trade. I've seen rumors that they're mulling a Boumeester-for-Lucic trade, which would cause me to outright denounce my Bruins fanhood. A little trade like a minor leaguer and a draft pick for Cole or Tkachuk would be more than enough to give this team that extra boost going into April and May.

I still wouldn't put stupid s*** like that past Bruins' ownership ("Kessel and Lucic for Tkachuk and some scrub? SCORE!"). I'd love to see Tkachuk on the Bruins. I could see them sending Yelle over for somebody. Yelle is alright sometimes, but he's pretty average. Oh, and the Bruins need more Matt Hunwick.

Now that Renny is gone all 4 teams that started in Europe have fired their coach. Schoenfeld is now coaching the muffin man. Tortorella could come in since the last broadcaster to go back to coaching worked so well for the Lightning.

Hi guys. I haven't written nearly all season. Here's my few thoughts so far.
- I wasn't worried about the NJ Devils having a bad season with Marty Bro out injured. The Devils ,like the Red-Wings, are one of the few teams in the NHL that I get the BIG GAME feel from when watching games. I always expect NJ to be tough to beat.
- It's odd watching the T.O. MapleLeafs this year. Usually ,if they have a losing season or not, I'm acustomed to the Leafs having a big star player in the line up. There's no star this year. It'll be interesting to see what Toronto's GM will do.
- I like how my Canucks are playing. If they're winning like their doing now going out of the regular season. I may feel hope in the play-offs to go to the semis if not more. I can dream.
- Also I like the new third jersey to the Canucks but I really wish the team would go back to their Black, yellow and funky dark orange uniforms. They had more success in those colors. They probably won't do it but it be super special if the NHL could do some retro 80's or 90's night. Have teams with their NHL teams linage play a night of games where the teams wear the exact uniforms their would have if it was say...1986 or something. For example Dallas Stars vs. Carolina Hurricanes, you could have the Dallas Stars play in the Minnesota North Stars sweaters and Caroilna in their Hartford Whalers uniforms. This could work for evening of a good 9 or 10 scheduled games. I think the fans would love it to happen every once or twice a season.
- I really thought this was going to be the year I changed my sport favourism to NBA basketball. I was so sure that the Toronto Raptors would be a good team this year. Easily a top 6 team in their conference and comfortably going into the play-offs. Not the case at all. They're not even close to the final play-off spot. I guess you really can't predict sports. I've turned my attention back to hockey and the teams racing for the play-offs. I see it going to the last weekend of the season for last play-off spots.
- Last point. I'm Canadian. I like Ovechkin. Sidney Crosby I don't really have an feelings about. I like the Sid the Kid. I realize he's a team leader and one of the NHL's best players but he's getting rather bland. Ovechkin he's a wild man, speaks his mind and makes exciting chances. I'm thinking of buying a retro 80's Washington Capitals jersey and getting number 8 on the back.
Enjoy the rest of the season and play-offs.

Budaj is awful! We're going to get destroyed by Jersey! Also, it upsets me the western conference gets no love from the media, it's so competitive these days.
Screw it, I'm a Chicago fan from here on out.
