They may be out of the playoffs, but it's always cool to see the Sens pwn the Habs. Dany Heatley FTW. Boo sir. Booooooooooo.

Sure, but not in this critical juncture!!! Bah. I've heard of Savard looking to buy it too. You can't go wrong with a CH legend like him...but would it work? Or would this be a case of too many Canadiens spoiling the broth? (MRS DEAL! GET GAINEY AND CARBO ON THE PHONE RIGHT NOW!)

Inconsistent? Us? Never....sigh.
Tonight should be interesting. Wonder what will happen with Avery. I have a feeling tonight's game may be a very rough one.

I have a feeling both the team and Avery will lay out their frustrations on each other, even more so than usual. Hmmm!

Actually, I read about him as a "Honored Canadien" and I can see why they would want him - he won with them the last two times as their GM.

Holy hell, *I* could score a goal on Manny Fernandez. Just shoot up top, because he has no f***ing idea there's a top shelf on a hockey net. Oh, and apparently his pads are made of super glue, because as soon as he drops down, it's impossible for him to move left or right. It's like he's trying to play the puck while stuck in quick sand.
This was his time to prove he's still in it, but nope.

2nd bulls*** penalty kills the Bruins, but Ottawa completely outworked and out-hustled the Bruins all night. I hate watching these throwaway games. Would it really have killed the Bruins to chase the puck a little?
I hope Wideman and Axelsson are back on the roster soon. They really needed them tonight.

Wow... this night could not be worse for the Devils standings wise. Philly won, Rags won, Caps won, and the Devils stunk up the place defensively that I can smell it here.

I know I don't post in this thread much (though I do show my loyalty in my sig), but I must say. Hurricanes 9 Islanders 0 ;D P.S. Deadpool told me he was going to be there tonight. I bet he's stoked.

Yep I was there and that was a blast! Near the end the entire crowd was chanting "We want 10!" ;D Also, it was awesome seeing Staal get a Hat Trick, but Ruutu almost had one too! In the last 5 games of the Hurricanes at home I've been to 4 of them now. First 4 hockey games in my life. During that time I've seen a Hat Trick, an across the rink empty netter, a fight, and a shut out. I'm getting to see a lot. Random fact. Brind'Amour has scored a goal in every single game we've been to.

He was, I went with him. We were split up due to the tix we got tho. We were each with a friend tho so thankfully we didn't haveta sit alone. Total whoop fest. I feel bad for the Islanders actually. As a new hockey fan I always try to be respectful to the other team's guys and not be a dickhead.

Did the Rags digitally put a Subway add on the glass behind each goal and over a part somewhere in the center. Must I always be bombarded with ads?

Did the Rags digitally put a Subway add on the glass behind each goal and over a part somewhere in the center. Must I always be bombarded with ads? I think that was digitally added by MSG. Anytime I saw the glass shake, it didn't shake with it. On a more serious note, Ryan Callahan was awarded the Steven McDonald Extra Effort Award and will have $25,000 donated to the Steven McDonald Foundation in his name. For those who don't know, McDonald is a police officier who was shot in the line of duty in 1986. He survived, but he is now confined to a wheelchair as one of the bullets shattered his spine, leaving him paralyzed by the neck down. To honor him, the Rangers started the SMEEA for the 87-88 season and awarded it to the player fans believed have gone above and beyond the call of duty.

What a crummy night for the Habs, the Bruins...
What the heck happened to the Islanders? Damn. 9-0. I bet the locker room was a real laugh riot after that fiasco.
Thursday's game against the Bruins should be a wild one. Naturally we screw up and lose two in a row and we desperately need this one. Bruins will be pissed and want to win again, so...it should be interesting.
I feel bad for anyone who gets the 'Canes in the playoffs (watch it be Montreal). This team is very difficult to contain.
Brodeur was terrible last night. I'd rest him for the rest of the season and let him start fresh in the playoffs.

Philly/Carolina would be a fun series for sure.
I agree though I would hate to be the team that has to face either Vancouver or the Canes.
