Oh yeah, I forgot PPV and TV Deals to (when TV stations pay for the right to play movies).
By the way, Watchmen's Weekend Estimate is $18,070,000 for a 67.3% drop. While not a good drop at all, it's not as bad as it could have been considering the above 70% Friday-to-Friday drop. This means it stablaized itself somewhat over Saturday and Sunday.

I never understood something about the story even when i read the graphic novel a few years back.
Ozymandias is supposed to be the worlds smartest man but when did he become the worlds best fighter?
He beats The Comedian,Night Owl,& Rorschach like they were bothersome mosquitoes...
Ps.I don't think it's going to get any acting awards but here's hoping for a Oscar for costume Design.

He works out... a lot. For the Comedian fight, I think he had fought him before and learned his techniques.

Watchmen is a unique movie though in this aspect, because of all the lawsuits and the wierd split between two competeing studios over rights. They are still talking about more lawsuits coming out of this and those lawyers are quite expensive and their fees will come out first before any studio can start counting their cash. I don't doubt they will easily recoup their cash as it has a long term fanbase that will always be there even if it was a worse pic than it was, however a lot of how it is percieved by the investors is the box office. After box office the cuts of who gets how much can change dramatically even on a one studio no lawsuit pic. www.deadlinehollywooddaily.com/watchmen-postmortem-what-price-fidelity/

Not cut and dry about who gets the money like many movies.

Just saw this this weekend and I loved it. I liked this a lot better than I did The Dark Knight.
It was very well done. I loved the comic panel re-creations. The use of music was well done.
The actor who played Rorschach (sorry, his name escapes me at the moment) - his performance was up there with Heath Ledger's as the Joker. He was easily the best actor there. Apparently they have him in mind to play the new Freddy in the Nightmare remake.
I cannot wait till the extended version comes out.
This is a 10/10 easily.

anyway; relevent question: Hooded Justice saved Sally when she was almost raped.
Is he the man she is later married to? or is her husband just a normal guy?

Husband is a normal guy. Hooded Justice disappeared shortly after, amidst rumors of a homosexual relationship with Captain Metropolis (not included in the film, I believe; in the comic, he's the one that calls the meeting of the Watchmen together instead of Veidt) and he was either killed by The Comedian later or, still together with Metropolis, depending on how you interpret some panels in the comic book.

Metropolis gets killed in 1974, he head gets chopped off in a car accident. In fact that is the one thing that was missing from the opening credits. It showed the fates of Silhouette, Dollar Bill, and Moth Man, but not Metropolis.

I also thought it was weird that Hooded Justice had a Russian accent.
The guy was German.

Seems pretty plausible that Metropolis faked his death.

Possibly, but it is kind of hard to fake getting decapitated. Easier deaths to fake are suicides, and getting shot.
