By the way... were my eyes playing tricks on me, or did they name the old lady Wolverine met after getting the adamantium skeleton as being "Heather Hudson" in the credits? That seemed a bit random to me, given who Heather Hudson is in the comics.

You could probably add Maverick to that list. They messed him up pretty badly, even if I can understand why they did it.

From someone who is not a comic book fan, can you please explain how Deadpool was "ruined"? I thought he was a pretty badass character.
Being a big poker and gambling fan, it was cool to see Gambit in the movie. I hope we see more of his character.
Also, another newbie question. I am guessing Sabertooth in the movie is the same Sabertooth from X-Men 1, but yet did they mention anything about Wolverine being his brother, and didn't he die quite easily in the movie? Makes his character in Origins seem out of place...or maybe I just need to watch part 1 again.

I'm not going into details because I'm lazy, but the movie Deadpool is nothing like comic Deadpool besides maybe one or two traits (healing factor for instance). They really might as well have not called that thing in the movie Deadpool, and I'd have probly been a lot happier and gone to see the movie then.

That's actually one minor complaint I had with the movie: it didn't do much to bridge the gap between Sabertooth of this movie and the Sabertooth of the first X-Men movie. Then again, they could always remedy that in a sequel, if they wanted to.
And do we know for sure that Sabertooth died in the first X-Men film? I always figured that since we didn't see the dead body, they could always do the "he survived, limped off, and got better" route pretty easily.

I've pretty much assumed from day one that Sabretooth didn't die, he just basically was like "f*** this" and left Magneto.

Let me first state i never really insult his intelligence I made a theatrical statement I could never back up because x-men origin could lap Iron man in every way and make myself look like a complete foul; Which I accept but you two who our brow beating me for the statement must have higher cards or crystal balls and see something different I figure I lash him once because we have a history from a previous and similar subject were I got overly passionate before someone else did. But even he himself stated in his post that he expected to receive hostility for say what he did. My brother and I saw it earlier today, and we both agree: it was awesome. And I know I'm going to catch hell for this... but I really liked the movie version of Deadpool. It may not be a whole lot like the comic book version, but that's sort of a good thing in my eyes, as I was never a fan of his to begin with. With that said I apologize to Mr. Emoticon Man, MEM Fan if I offend him and him alone, I respect his right to like what every he does and would hope he would do the same for me an I would like to ask him to forgive me for siding with the people that wanted to banned him for his views .

Deadpool in the comics has the nickname "The Merc with the Mouth" and when you sew his mouth shut it defeats the purpose. The closest the movie ever got to the comic Deadpool was when Wade was on screen. The smart ass quips, the one liners, THAT is Deadpool (minus the costume and the disfigurement, and the storyline). Too bad we only got 5 minutes of it.

NO. This kind of stuff is not going to fly. There is absoluty no need to insult anyone because they liked a movie. Consider this an official warning for flaming. Take the time to go over the rules of the board. I'm not usually one for public warnings, but I'm cutting this crap off before it goes any further. I'm sorry, An I promise it will try my hardest not to repeat those action again

That seemed a bit random to me, given who Heather Hudson is in the comics. Holy crap I did not notice that. Slight refeence to Exiles in the movie.

Plus if Wolverine can go to hell and get out, so can 'Tooth. Plus it may have just been a figment of Wolverine's mind. Like a "test" that takes the form of Tooth.

Heather Hudson in the 616 universe has a history with Wolverine as well.
