And that's why I draft Raul Ibanez every year.

Getting pretty sick of these baseball-playing Canadians.

OMG! A-Rod did something! Yankees win! Actually since it's May and not October, it doesn't count as doing something. Sorry.

Rangers are finally about to start!
It's weird seeing our normal play by play guy Josh Lewin, in the same spot on a national game on Fox. He sees us everyday, so he knows what he's talking about.
Strange hearing him call a Ranger game without Tom Grieve though.

Good news: the Mets finally score runs for Johan.
Bad news: Johan wasn't himself today. His fastball was kind of flat.
Good news: he still pitched well enough to go 7 IP, and give up what only should've been about 2 earned runs.
Bad news: the Mets' defense played like the @#$%ing Keystone Kops behind him again. Seriously, the Mets have some excellent fielders, but it's liked they're so scared to make a mistake when Johan's pitching. JUST DO YOUR FREAKING JOB.
Best news: We still won, again. WOOOOOOOOO!!! Carlos Beltran is still playing like God and David Wright is alive again.

Good news: Keith Hernandez is awesome:

Kevin Gregg Sucks. Plain and simple. How do you blow a save when you aren't even in line for one? What a worthless bum. God I wish Lou would just name Marmol the Closer already.
Thank god for Bobby Scales* and his speed. Cubs win again to make it 6 in a row.
*Also for a horrible throw from Hunter Pence

Is he the guy who made adult films back in the day? Because I was thinking about Kevin Gregg's performance and thought that Kobayashi would be a good segue to guys doing guys in...a very uncomfortable place other than a German automobile. I also was listening to White Sox radio, and Farmer and DJ spent the entire AJ Pierzynski at-bat talking about how stupid Alexei was being as a baserunner. By the time he was doubled off, they'd already said, boy, at the rate he's going, he better watch out for the hidden ball trick. And lo and behold, Scutaro gets him on the "it's foul; hold up" fake-out. St. Louis is no longer in first place. The Brewers, Cubs, Cardinals, and Reds are spaced out by half-game margins between first and fourth. And Randy Wells looks to be making the Cubs' Zambrano return roster move a little easier. While I honestly believe Marshall can be a 3rd/4th starter in the Majors, he needs to go to the pen and Neal Cotts needs to be DFAd or amputated, whichever gets him off the team quicker.

Kobayashi will probably go to a team that needs to bolster their bullpen *coughcough*Yankees*coughcough* I can't imagine him taking his 8.38 ERA and 1.655 WHIP and bolstering any bullpen. Actually, scratch that, get this man a one-way ticket to Natstown!
