YES just talked about the 'Free Money June 27' deal. Apparently, fans in attendance will be getting envelopes that will either contain $5, $10, $20, or consession stand coupons. One envelope, however, will contain the grand prize, which is $10,000.
The broadcasters want to go, but they have to be at Citifield for the Subway Series.

About time they give a little back to the people who pay those insane contracts.

Wow...are they hurting for attendance that badly or is this from the heart? I really doubt it's the latter

Matt Wieters is 2-3, with a double and a triple. Luke Scott hit another home run tonight to tie the game up at 3.
Another known Matt Wieters fact, his walkup music is a moment of silence...for the pitcher.

Where are all these Matt Facts coming from, and who does he play for? I'm guessing the Mets, but I don't follow baseball all that much.

Also, when Matt Wieters was a baby, his family took him to a Cards game and somehow he managed to crawl on the field before start time- and his first step was a flip over Ozzie Smith in the middle of Ozzie's own flip.

Matt Wieters is no Jarrod Saltalamacchia. You're right. Wieters probably knows how to throw out baserunners. Jose Veras is awful with a capital AWFUL. He ought to be DFA'd immediately. Yanks win. A whole game and a half lead on the AL East. It's been a while.

what a game in Anaheim tonight.
3-0 LAA going into the ninth. Seattle gets runners on 1st & 2nd with 2 outs , and Jose Lopez hits a HR to tie it!

Now its up to Seattle pitchers. The duality of our bullpen is frightening. Some days, we'll be lights out, others, we'll get lighten up.

Good 7-0 win for the Cubs today over the Dodgers. Dempster was lights out and the offense looked like they actually had fun. Guzman with a nice 8th inning, and Heilman getting out of a jam in the 9th to save the shutout. Back to two games over .500, and hopefully done with the painful offensive woes. The pitching has been VERY good as of late, and if the offense is back, it's a good sign. Don't look now, but Uncle Miltie's up to .223. The man is getting hot. I guess seeing three starting pitchers melt down in 24 hours lit a fire under his ass. And the Cubs' win on Friday was their first victory since Sept 11, 2008, in which they scored fewer than 4 runs. Looks like they're on their way to solid >.500 water-treading until Aramis gets back and makes this a baseball team.

So, I guess we'll just keep right on doing that and continue to be behind only the Dodgers for the best overall record in the league.
