Is it sad that I really did that on purpose? Bruins come out big at the award's show. Thomas definitely deserved the Vezina. Chara deserved the Norris. I'm happy that they gave it to a defenseman who actually plays defense. I fully expected them to give it to Mike Green, because of his huge offensive output. Green is essentially a winger, considering he barely plays actual defense. Maybe Thomas can thank the fans of Boston by cutting his new contract down to about $3 million a season, so the B's can re-sign Kessel, Recchi, Bitz and Hunwick. You know, Thomas actually seems like the kind of guy to do that, even though he totally deserves the $5 million. And ugh to the talks of Manny Fernandez playing another year. I don't think he's capable of having another November-December stint like last year, and I'd rather see Tuukka Rask get more ice time.

I also have to echo the sentiment of Tim Thomas deserving the Vezina. The guy was aces all season long. And I'll never forget when he did his best Superman impression on the Leafs' Jason Blake.

Sorry to ruin your fun, but watch the Isles squander their pick again, much like last year. ;D ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS JOHN TAVARES. The HOUSE IS PACKED for the Islanders draft party (17,000 signed up as of yesterday). We shall be exceedingly drunk. Do Not make us take Mike Bossy hostage, Garth! Sorry to ruin your fun, but watch the Isles squander their pick again, much like last year. ;D Wrong. Josh Bailey is Legit. He needs to...eat a steak and grow, but he's a tremendous playmaker. I watched enough of im last year to be sold. The Leafs are after Tavares big time. So I don't know what'll happen there - if they'll make a deal with the Islanders or what to get him. It was also mentioned in the local paper that maybe Basille should buy the Islanders maybe and move them to Ontario. More Toronto Bias. Move the Islanders? The Most storied US exspansion team in NHL history? I know Ontario's tired of no cups since 67, but you don't get to steal ours. Ya, and even if the do draft him they have a really bad habit of trading good picks after a year or 2 if the don't turn into the next Gretzky or Lemieux right away. They've traded away alot of great players, who basically turned around and become great with other teams. Who...exactly? Did Luongo lead a parade I missed? He would've demanded a trade or bolted as a UFA. The only 1 lament is Chara. The rest are all overrated and or mediocre. Should I yearn for Todd Bertuzzi?

The only story on the Isles since 1993 is that they suck.

Steve Simmons of the Toronto Sun reports a lot of general managers believe the NY Islanders will select Victor Hedman first overall, meaning the Lightning could pick John Tavares second overall and the Colorado Avalanche with the third pick would select Matt Duchene
If this were to actually happen i think we may actually see that Lecavalier-to-Habs rumor come true.

The only story on the Isles since 1993 is that they suck. As opposed to the litany of Cups won by....Every Canadian team in that time span.

Thing is, considering how many Canadians play on American teams (and vice versa) who really cares anymore? It doesn't bother me all that much. It's not like something from the Olympics, Team Canada vs Team USA..that's different. I'm sure it bothers some people but overall I don't care. I'd like the Habs to win of course, but that's because that's a standard Montreal reaction all the time. As for me having a bias Toronto-wise? I do...against it!

Or one could just add another ten years to that, which the words "Canadian teams" to Islanders. So, Islanders one Cup in 26 years. Canada 8 Cups in 26 years.

He won't be in the game until a roster update comes out. EA can't get his rights with the NHLPA until he plays at least one game. He won't be in the game as you buy it from the store.

Wow, a Nation has more Cups than one team. Impressive. Of the American Teams, outside of Detroit, The Islanders have the most storied past, and it's not really debateable.
