Performance Artist Shaye Saint John. I know, I just hate every morning when I turn on E! and hear the constant coverage of Shaye Saint John. I'm talking in terms of internet popularity.

Considering it's been done twice in this thread, it must be somewhat popular. And that is quoting someone elses response and posting nothing. I don't get it. I didn't used to do it myself, but for some reason it's become habit. I guess it's just a way to support the opinion of a fellow poster when you don't have anything else to add. *shrug*

Twitter I see this being shoved down my throat every 2 minutes on CNN and Fox11, I see it being proclaimed as a 'revolutionary social tool'. Yet to me, it just seems like a tool that baby boomers and famous people use in order to look like they are with the times. It even brought my idea to a 'Social Networking Lifetime'
Under 17: Myspace 18-30: Facebook 31-50: Twitter 51- : Classmates
There should be a drinking game for the amount of twitter mentions on CNN, I bet you would see alot of people with alcohol poisoning by now if people started playing

Ed Hardy. Seriously, why does anyone look at that crap and think "I have to spend way too much for that"?

Reality Shows Twilight Jonas Brothers Katy Perry Hoola Hoops Transistor Radios Jon and Kate Sequels and Remakes Will Ferrell American Idol John Cena Everything Else The only quibble I'd have would be with Cena. I get his appeal. I don't share it, but I get it. I was 7 once. And the people who enjoy such things as the Jonas Bros, Twilight, reality TV, and Will Ferrell are perennially 7. Something about that hazy twilight of innocence passing into the darkness of the age of reason that makes John Cena click. I have no interest in seeing Napoleon Dynamite. I have no interest in seeing a Judd Apatow movie. I don't get the sorry excuse for rock music that has arisen since about 2001, especially the Killers or Franz Ferdinand. I don't get soccer [unamerican football, for all you foreigners out ther ] or pretty much any Olympic sport that doesn't judge based on a finish line, a ball, a stopwatch, or a tape measure. I hate cable "news" stations that comment only on themselves and celebrity. Really, John Cena is pretty damn tolerable compared to most of the crap that is pop culture today.

Twilight. My wife loves that nonsense though I don't understand what's cool about a girl who can't walk down stairs without needing a dude to catch her. And why are vampires that are hundreds of years old still in high school? Determined to graduate no matter how long it takes?

-People who hate on Will Farrel and Seth Rogen. They're funny.
-People who hate on Metallica that say they haven't enjoyed any of the music they've made in 20 years but remain uber-fans anyway. If I like a band and they put out a string of albums I don't like, I stop considering myself a fan and don't hang out at their Fansites and go to their concerts.
-American Idol, and most reality shows in general.
-Foo Fighters/Dave Grohl. I guess the Foo Fighters have a couple of songs I like, such as Everlong and My Hero, but I must be missing something because I don't see why he's hailed as such a genius. Ditto for Queens of The Stone Age.
-House. It's essentially a rip-off of Dr. Cox from Scrubs yet people act like it's so original.
-The Iron Man movie. I thought the plot was lame (he built an armored suit in a cave while being watched by terrorists, really?) and I thought the character of Tony Stark was an asshole.

Things I don't "get" or could care less for:
Texting- If your between the ages of 14-23/24, this is the only way you know how to communicate with other forms of intelligent life. In the time it takes you to essentially write 4 or 5 texts, I could have said the exact same thing over the phone with the person in 12 seconds. Seriously, thousands of texts per month!?!? I hate cell phones in general.
Facebook/MySpace/Twitter- I don't need to write and update people that I will be going to the grocery store or dropping a deuce later in the day, nor could care less about logging in, sending messages and gabbing like a high school girl (which is pretty much a majority of the people on these sites). These stupid sites are also the bane of my existence.
Macs/Tree-hugging hippie Mac-lovers....90%(probably more) of the world has a PC.
Family Guy- It has its moments, but imho South Park destroys FG (manatees w/ idea balls)
Twilight Harry Potter-Never had the desire to watch any of the movies or read 1 single book.
Probably 80 of the top 100 songs on ITUNES at any given time. Current "popular" music sure does suck these days.

Our fast paced society in which everyone must know everything that happens in every moment of every person they knows lives is so annoying.
