After seeing everything they let Borne do, I'm having a hard time seeing this WWE many are speaking of that where everyone wrestles the same and no one is allowed to do anything, ever. It'd be a real treat, since it's up there with WWE and their Entertainers for most cited thing that never actually happened. Piledriver, Vertebreaker, Possibly the 450 Splash. Congratulations, you just read the entire banned list. The End. Evan Bourne literally had to do the 450 about 20 times perfectly in front of all the agents before they'd ok him doing it. WWE Style is not a myth, they make goes go to develop to learn it when they've been wrestling for 10 years. I'm not saying the style doesn't exist, I'm just saying the style isn't an iota as rigid as many claim. Yes, it is there, and yes, a lot of it is because OVW had very cookie cutter results a lot of time, and people generally are less experienced nowdays in learning more than one move playbook. But people seem to have a huge stick up their ass about often perfectly reasonable restraints. There is a middle ground between puro and Bill Watts "No Top Rope, Ever" rules.

My thought of WWE style is 5 signature moves and a finisher with alot of punching kicking and general rest holds. Then they'll throw up the ring psychology thing or story telling thing as an excuse to not let guys that can have fast past matches have them.

Maybe if they drilled wrestlers like they do in Japan (and how Chavo Sr. drilled Eddie, similarly) the style wouldn't need to be "restrained". Better trained wrestlers doing the moves makes all the difference. And maybe only the top trained wrestlers should be able to do the "risky" stuff in the first place.

Then they'll throw up the ring psychology thing or story telling thing as an excuse to not let guys that can have fast past matches have them. One reason WWE style is like that is the time constraint. Matches are seldom longer than 5 minutes, unless it's an uppercard match, where the entrances are longer than the match itself. This is another reason bringing in Japanese wrestlers is a poor idea. You can't take guys who are used to telling 20 minute stories and have then condense everything to 5 and hope for them to be just as effective. You can't go from "pure" wrestling to "canned" wrestling and be as effectively, plain and simple.

Yeah great. WWE will neuture 80% of the japanese wrestlers offensive material because it will scare the piss out of the lockeroom and they end up losing to John Cena and Hornswaggle in a 10 on 1 1/2 handicap match where Cena lays them all out in succession with the FU then lets Hornswoggle score the winning pin on whichever Japanese guy the fans like the most. Do it at Great American Bash for the Xenophobe factor. 1 day later on Raw McMahon: We wanted to bring in the great wrestlers from the orient so they could showcase their ability for the WWE fans. Unfortunatley we didn't anticipate they would lose to of all people John Cena??? and Hornswoggle??? YOUR FIRED!!!! That concludes the Japan invasion angle and we move right along on Raw with a dildo on a pole match were 5 divas who nobody knows botch and flop around for 5 minutes until Santina runs in and grabs the thing and wins. Then they start an angle where Santina has a secret admirer......who is one of the dudes in the back.......and here's me shutting off USA for another 3 months (click) I think you need to send your resume to the WWE they might hire you after reading this post. Your the 4th or 5th person in a year to suggest that. Maybe I missed my calling, writing stupid ****. What's the turnaround on WWE writers??? 7 days?? 2 weeks?? If I get paid $100,000 just for 2 weeks of work then it might be worth it.

That's the thing that gets me, instead of just making it where the guys who can't do the moves don't try them. They think it's better to make everyone work the same style hence neutering the guys who are capable of doing more.

Yeah, I mean in AJW they worked around 5 - 6 shows a week with tons of stiffing and head dropping for years and a big number of them have been going for 20 years. Hell look at Toyota.....true she's probably part bionic woman, but still she's never had a serious injury and has gone for 20 years bumping like Jeff Hardy can only dream of doing. True not everyone can handle it, but that's ok, not everyone has to. Completely throwing that style out the window however is asinine to me. If someone's willing to risk injuries like that, then why shouldn't they be brought up to the highest paycheck?I mean worse thing that could happen is you have to release them for too many injuries.
It also reminds me of this Amazing Kong quote "I loved Japan. I love and respect the workers there. We did our jobs, put ice on whatever hurt and didn't complain. If these bitches here in America think MY spinning backfist is stiff, they should take Aja's!"

I think it's the training in the ZenJo Dojo that allowed them to work a WWE-like schedule with the hard hitting style they did. All in the training. That's why so many girls from that period kinda vanished, very few people can take that kind of schedule. Wrestling is one of the toughest jobs in the world.

But that's why only the best survive. And why shouldn't the best make the most money? Yes there's risks of injuries but that's why you strength train. They'd bridge while weightlifting to strengthen their necks to make up for women's weaker necks.
Shit, how awesome would it be if they'd unleash regal from the constraints? Just letting him bear maul a bunch of bland faces....it'd be so f***ing sweet.

Maybe this is the time FINALLY for the WWE to bring in the new Asian Sensation "The Wok" and he can say "Know your damn egg roll" and "can you smell what the Wok is cooking" and then job clean to Brian Kendrick and Chavo Guerrero

Just letting him bear maul a bunch of bland faces....it'd be so snorking sweet. The bridging while weight lifting is done here, too. Men and women. And head stand neck stretches. And some people do it the old fashioned way with a chain and weight worn like a collar.

The announcers would explain how McCool is stronger than she is physically. They would totally do that. Because Divas are the best. You take Mccool's boningtaker skills way too lightly.......they'd line up every former JWP/WWWA/AAAw champion(tags champs included) and she'd super kick them all in one shot and pin them in 2 seconds.....yes you need 3 seconds for a 3 count, but they'd find a way to get around that.

No way, I totally know who they're bringing......Mr Buddaman!!!!! He should have gotten the WWWA championship for a lengthy 3 year run instead of that silly aja bint. Unfortunately AJW's sexist booking wouldn't allow him. He would have gotten AJW its TV Deal back. Buddhamania!!!!! This will be perfect, he will help wrestling supersede MMA once and for all.
