I don't mind Cyber Sunday, but I'm gonna miss No Mercy. That's been around for a decade, and even had a videogame named after it. To this day, I associate that name with the first Hardy/E&C ladder match.

So now they're going to have 4 new PPV names for this year: The Bash, Breaking Point, Hell in a Cell, and Annihilation.
At least it seems they're willing to admit that Cyber Sunday wasn't exactly the world's greatest format (last year seems to have been the nail in the coffin with only text messages being counted towards the votes).

I honestly like the idea of freshening up the PPV names, but the choices are pretty week. Annihilation? Really?

Annihilation, IMO, is pretty similar to Armageddon. Don't know why they went with the name change for No Mercy. That name was perfectly fine.

And I'm one of the few that liked the Cyber Sunday PPV idea. I believe they could have done it better (made it less predictable) but it was a neat idea and made for an exciting PPV because you didn't know for sure what was going to happen.

I still don't see what is so bad about the HIAC PPV. I mean 2 or 3 HIAC's can't be worse than NWO having 2 ECs and, that has worked out well. I wonder what Annihilation will be? Is this HIAC supposed to be.. every match is in the Cell? Nooooooo.. No, just the main events, like NWO with the Chamber.

Please...Please...PLEASE DON'T TELL ME THEY ARE GOING TO DRAG HHH/ORTON THAT LONG!!! A HIAC at SummerSlam then an entire PPV dedicated to them? I find that hard to believe.

This probably means that Triple H and Randy Orton won't have a Hell in a Cell match any time soon...

Any chance that No Mercy is going to jump to TNA as "TNA Mercy Not Shown"?

I can understand getting rid of Cyber Sunday, but why No Mercy? And, why get rid of Unforgiven? I liked those names! Can't they just have the freaking gimmicks at the PPVs without changing the names?

I still don't see what is so bad about the HIAC PPV. I mean 2 or 3 HIAC's can't be worse than NWO having 2 ECs and, that has worked out well. But that's different. It can be billed as a free for all last chance to get your ticket punched to Mania. Win or possibly miss the biggest show of the year. It's essentially a special contender's match or title match in some circumstances. Hell in a Cell is supposed to be a special feud ender. Like, blood feuds that need one final way to settle it all. They'll seriously bastardize it this way treating it as a pre-set attraction. Especially if there isn't a worthy feud going within 10 miles of the show and you get something like (random example) Jericho/Hardy in it. Sure, they might have issues then, but HIAC issues? I'd doubt it.
