So now they're going to have 4 new PPV names for this year: The Bash, Breaking Point, Hell in a Cell, and Annihilation. I think it's five. Wasn't this the first year for "Extreme Rules"?

This reminds me of WCW before they went under. Not that I'm saying the WWE will go under, but remember Mayhem? Sin? Greed?
I wish the last PPV had been Sloth.

The HIAC PPV sounds interesting, but Annihilation makes me think of that god awful Mortal Kombat movie.

The Hell in the Cell PPV might work if they leave it to one or two Hell in the Cell matches and maybe a War Games style match inside the Cell.
Cyber Sunday never really worked for a PPV. That being said, I think that that would actually be a really good format for one of those special, tri-branded 3 hour RAWs the WWE does every so often.

I wonder if Armagedon, No Way Out, Backlash, and Judgement Day are going to get name changes as well. Also do not forget last year they dropped Vengeance for Night of Champions.

With Unforgiven and No Mercy being given the boot, it really feels like the beginning of the end of an era. I wonder how long the other non-Big 5 PPVs have left...
And yes, the idea of a Hell in a Cell PPV is absolutely horrible for reasons already stated.

I still don't see what is so bad about the HIAC PPV. I mean 2 or 3 HIAC's can't be worse than NWO having 2 ECs and, that has worked out well. But that's different. It can be billed as a free for all last chance to get your ticket punched to Mania. Win or possibly miss the biggest show of the year. It's essentially a special contender's match or title match in some circumstances. Hell in a Cell is supposed to be a special feud ender. Like, blood feuds that need one final way to settle it all. They'll seriously bastardize it this way treating it as a pre-set attraction. Especially if there isn't a worthy feud going within 10 miles of the show and you get something like (random example) Jericho/Hardy in it. Sure, they might have issues then, but HIAC issues? I'd doubt it. This is why I'm against the Hell in a Cell PPV. HIAC is a feud-ender, not a match just picked out at random for two superstars to face. I understand the WWE trying to shake up their PPV's to get people to order them. But, this is taking it a little too far (and is starting to rip off TNA). Does this mean this Sunday's 3 Stages of Hell match will be the feud ender for HHH and Orton? I'd be glad, since I'm tired of the feud. But, that is no way to end the feud (if the three matches were different, then it would be).

Wasn't Annihilation one of the proposed names for an all cage match PPV? That would mean you would have two 'cage' gimmick PPVs in a row, with HIAC coming first!? I remember the poll for it anyway - I gave 'Rage in a Cage' top marks myself

Wait till the kids era really takes over and we have PPV names like.....WWE adventure fun land. Only if the entire PPV is for the newly brought back Hardcore Title, under 24/7 rules. And now this means we won't hear that awesome "No Mercy" song again.

So is this "Hell in a Cell" ppv supposed to be a ripoff of TNA Lockdown? Sure seems that way. Pretty sad to rip off another company that supposedly "isn't even competition" and has "reprehensible television". Also. Annihilation is probably one of the worst PPV names I've ever heard. What are they going to do, fight to the death?

What's next they change the Royal Rumble to ruin my Dreamcast memories or make a PPV with all Blindfold Matches and call it WWE Lights Out.

Getting rid of Cyber Sunday is good. It was an interesting idea but the decision to just have text messages from US residents only led to it being the second least grossing PPV of all time. But the all HIAC PPV-no, no, no. Its meant to be a feud ender, not just another match.
