Hell in the Cell as a PPV name what the smurf is that its like calling a PPV bump. I think the WWE needs to cut back on the PPV's NOW! There are way too many of them and eventually all the names will be stupid. I wonder if Vince is reading the WCW playbook from 98-2000. There were 12 PPVs even then. They weren't anywhere near as expensive as they are now though, and the storylines were better. Rock/Austin feud didn't need gimmick matches to sell.

I agree WWE has to many PPV's, once a month would be perfect for WWE & the fans. Also the themed PPV's are find because you see regular wrestling on TV and something special on PPV. Isn't that suppose to be the case? Something special on PPV.
My Ideal PPV Schedule
January: Royal Rumble: Major Titles & Royal Rumble Match
February: No Way Out: WWE & WHC Elimination Chamber Matches
March: WrestleMania: It's WrestleMania
April: Backlash: WrestleMania Rematches
May: King of The Ring: Major Titles Matches/Semi & Finals of KOTR Tournament
June: Night of Champions: All Titles on The Line
July: The Bash: Normal PPV
August: SummerSlam: Normal PPV/Big Blowoff Match
September: Unforgiven: Major Titles Championship Scramble Matches/Normal PPV
October: Breaking Point: Must Make Your Opponent Tap or KO Them
November: Survivor Series: Traditional Survivor Series Matches
December: Armageddon: Normal PPV

Bravo.

My PPV schedule if I were running things January Royal Rumble big titles and the rumble match Feburary No Way Out I would have the WWE and WHC titles be decided under scramble rules in a HIAC. March/April depending on the calendar Wrestlemania Its the Superbowl of this industry May I would scrap Backlash and I would have Bad Blood come back and have that be a mix of normal matches and blow off feuds that would take place under first blood rules. June King Of The Ring Have KOTR semis and finals take place along with the winner earning a shot at any title during the PPV. July The Great American Bash typical PPV August Summerslam Big ppv so we have the last matches of feuds. September One Night Only this would be a evening in which we would have gimmick matches. October Breaking Point a all submission or KO based PPV with the main even. November Survivor Series Traditional 5 on 5 matches with the major titles being defended. December Night Of Champions All championships defended.

They never said Hell in a Cell would be all Cell matches. It could just be like No Way Out, with the main events being Cell matches.
And I actually like the name Annihilation, I just wonder what the theme will be.

This will ruin the Hell in the cell match. It used to busted out once a year for an intense (no) blood feud. They were rare and a big deal, because only a select few had wrestled in them. Two a show, with unbefitting feuds is a bad idea.

A lot of negativity in this thread. They're just PPV names. And besides, look at the bright side. At least they didn't name any of their new PPVs after a Phil Collins song. Although I would probably order a PPV called WWE Sussudio.

But that's different. It can be billed as a free for all last chance to get your ticket punched to Mania. Win or possibly miss the biggest show of the year. It's essentially a special contender's match or title match in some circumstances. Hell in a Cell is supposed to be a special feud ender. Like, blood feuds that need one final way to settle it all. They'll seriously bastardize it this way treating it as a pre-set attraction. Especially if there isn't a worthy feud going within 10 miles of the show and you get something like (random example) Jericho/Hardy in it. Sure, they might have issues then, but HIAC issues? I'd doubt it. This is why I'm against the Hell in a Cell PPV. HIAC is a feud-ender, not a match just picked out at random for two superstars to face. I understand the WWE trying to shake up their PPV's to get people to order them. But, this is taking it a little too far (and is starting to rip off TNA). Except theres nothing wrong with "ripping off" one of TNA's more successful ideas and marketing it to your wider audience. The thing about the all Hell in a Cell Match format is that its likely that they will have gimmicks within the gimmick match much like Lockdown. In addition to the true Hell in a Cell blood feud ender match, you'll probably see a War Games variation, and other gimmicks inside the cell to make each match different. If done that way it could be fun

But, I have to acknowledge that they are borrowing ideas from what I thought wasn't even competition to them.
