Hell In A Cell: great name for a match, horrible name for a PPV. And if it's what WWE were saying in that survey, then it's not an all HIAC PPV, just the main events, which I'm guessing are just the Raw and Smackdown ones.
I personally don't see the need for all these gimmicked PPVs, give me the Royal Rumble and the Survivor Series and leave it at that. Especially the all-submission one. That's a terrible idea I can see people not buying it because it sounds boring.

The "In Your House" PPVs have always had all these unnecessary name changes. I expect them to eventually start looping. Soon D-generation X and Rock Bottom will get used again instead of the Bash or HIAC.

HIAC only has a reputation as a feud ender because WWE trained us to believe that. If they want to use it for something else, then fine. They can use something else as a feud ender if they like.
Pray to God they use 3SOH to end Orton/HHH - they simply cannot be seriously considering dragging it out until October.

Only Undertaker and Triple H are allowed in Hell in a Cell!
Those PPV names suck!

What a load of bollocks. Cyber Sunday I could understand, but what the hell was wrong with No Mercy?!
If that PPV is entirely of HIAC matches, then its a disgrace.

"annihilation" sucks ass, and HIAC should be saved for special occasions.

I still don't see what is so bad about the HIAC PPV. I mean 2 or 3 HIAC's can't be worse than NWO having 2 ECs and, that has worked out well. But that's different. It can be billed as a free for all last chance to get your ticket punched to Mania. Win or possibly miss the biggest show of the year. It's essentially a special contender's match or title match in some circumstances. Hell in a Cell is supposed to be a special feud ender. Like, blood feuds that need one final way to settle it all. They'll seriously bastardize it this way treating it as a pre-set attraction. Especially if there isn't a worthy feud going within 10 miles of the show and you get something like (random example) Jericho/Hardy in it. Sure, they might have issues then, but HIAC issues? I'd doubt it. This for sure.

No Mercy and Cyber Sunday are now History... www.wwe.com front page on the right side of the home page the PPV dates are listed and its now Hell in a cell and Annihilation No Mercy is NOW Hell In A Cell. The name of that closed in cage that the Undertaker made famous. Okay. And Cyber Sunday is NOW Analnation Well, the Iron Sheik will be pleased at least.

Did ANYONE actually like Cyber Sunday? The fans' choices were even more predicatble than anything WWE itself ever wrote.

I don't know how I feel about Hell in a Cell. I'm torn on the idea that it could work out like No Way Out, but then everyone is right when it should be a major feud ender. Maybe I'm just being cynical, but I really hate the idea of making ppv's gimmicky.

I get it. They want more sales from their lesser PPVs, so they're loading them with gimmick matches! Worked for TNA's PPVs...oh wait, no it didn't.

Was anyone ever expecting Austin to lose any of the matches he was voted on as a choice?

Was anyone ever expecting Austin to lose any of the matches he was voted on as a choice? I don't think people were expecting Austin to be wrestling period. He was always the special referee or something. Yeah, I remember being oh so pissed off when I heard I could only vote on one solitary match last year. Like I said, I like the concept but it doesn't work as the foundation of an entire PPV.

Sure, but Austin was still so overwhelmingly popular that it made voting against him kind of like betting against the Harlem Globetrotters.
Anyway, I like your idea of a 3-hour Raw with the voting gimmick. It should be in the same month that Cyber Sunday used to air, or used as a "sweeps" gimmick.

This reminds me of WCW before they went under. Not that I'm saying the WWE will go under, but remember Mayhem? Sin? Greed? I wish the last PPV had been Sloth. as long as it's sponsored by Baby Ruth.

Wow, an entire PPV of gimmick matches. Nothing like stealing ideas from a company you supposedly don't care about. Heh, its ECW all over again, except with stupider ideas than before.
People like gimmick matches, but I'm sure they don't want to see an entire PPV with everyone in a steel cage. Divas matches in HIAC? Those girls are probably gonna get hurt if they get sent flying into steel. And if no one bleeds at all, it will be ridiculous.
Didn't care that much about Cyber Sunday, since WWE swayed your votes either way.

Hell in the Cell as a PPV name what the smurf is that its like calling a PPV bump. I think the WWE needs to cut back on the PPV's NOW! There are way too many of them and eventually all the names will be stupid. I wonder if Vince is reading the WCW playbook from 98-2000.
