I wasn't as impressed as others were with it but, that could be to the f***ing dipshit parents who brought their 3 - 8 year old to the damn thing and, would not remove them when they lost their mind crying. I thought it was a little preachy at the end but, nothing too horrible.
I am hoping to go back and see it again though and avoid the large Cherry Coke so I can stay for the credits.

I'll probably see this movie tomorrow, depending on what the early football games are being shown in my area ...
After checking the games shown in my area, I think I'll go see it tomorrow on the early show. Sounds great.

I'm a little curious as to what you thought was preachy about the ending. If anything, I loved this movie precisely because it was the polar opposite of preachy in every way. If you want didactic zombie flicks, I could list off a bunch that are WAY worse offenders than this.

Was the ending bittersweet? That's what I hated about Shaun Of The Dead. I don't want an ending where some of my heroes die, get turned into zombies, etc.
Ghostbusters got horror comedy right. Good laughs, a few scares, and the heroes standing triumphant in the end.

For a comedy it was just...too uplifting, I guess is the better way to put it. I am fine with what happened but, was wanting more laughs than "ahh"s. As the "big moment" happens, have a Zombie pop up and, Tallahassee shoot him, apologizing for having to cock block or something like that.

Actually, and anyone that doesn't want to read about the ending stop reading this now... ...actually it's the happiest ending I've ever seen in a zombie movie.

But I'll also echo Big Wiggle's sentiments about a horror comedy. IMO, in this day and age where every single goddamn horror film has to have a twist ending that screws the heroes over, a sunny ending in a horror film is a REAL twist in and of itself.

This may be the best movie I've seen this year. The only ones that could possibly come close for me are Inglorious Basterds and Gran Torino.
SPOILER
Bill Murray steals the show. The whole time his cameo was going on, the theater was popping like crazy.

IMO, in this day and age where every single goddamn horror film has to have a twist ending that screws the heroes over, a sunny ending in a horror film is a REAL twist in and of itself. I thought Woody was going to get it when the film went slow motion-y as he was shooting zombies with the pistols in the ball toss stand and the Micheal Cera clone was running to save the girls. Usually when a film does the slow motion trick it means someone's getting killed but this film Russo-Swerved in a good way. And I hope tonight in my dreams Emma Stone shows up in that white shirt, holding a bottle of wine and that "hey there, big boy" look she was giving the Not-Cera in the mansion scene.
