I liked it too...HOWEVER...as someone who watched Adventureland first, that kid who was in it as well plays THE EXACT SAME CHARACTER.
EXACTTTTTTTT SAMEEEEEEEEE CHARACTERRRRR!!!!
It really hurt the movie to me. If I had seen this first I think I wouldve loved it.

Understood. But I'll also echo Big Wiggle's sentiments about a horror comedy. IMO, in this day and age where every single goddamn horror film has to have a twist ending that screws the heroes over, a sunny ending in a horror film is a REAL twist in and of itself. I thought Woody was going to get it when the film went slow motion-y as he was shooting zombies with the pistols in the ball toss stand and the Micheal Cera clone was running to save the girls. Usually when a film does the slow motion trick it means someone's getting killed but this film Russo-Swerved in a good way. And I hope tonight in my dreams Emma Stone shows up in that white shirt, holding a bottle of wine and that "hey there, big boy" look she was giving the Not-Cera in the mansion scene. Yeah, I thought the same thing. I mean, I figured the kids would survive, since I had heard that the movie had a pretty happy ending, but I thought Woody was going to become a carny snack by the time he locked himself in that booth. With all of the main cast surviving, though, I kinda wonder if there'll ever be a Zombieland 2, assuming the current one makes money. If so, I'd definitely go see it, as this is the one zombie movie that I've really enjoyed and wouldn't mind seeing a second.

I don't think I'll be able to watch another movie for the rest of my life. Zombieland was THAT good.
But seriously, great flick. The Bill Murray cameo was hysterical, and the movie was just short enough that there were no bad parts while still having more than enough awesome moments.

They keep playing the same characters over and over, which is essentially them playing themselves. Anyways, I watched Zombieland and Whip-It on Monday. I really liked Zombieland, it wasn't as funny as I thought it would be, but it was short, fun and to the point and the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ cameo was brillant.

Something I didn't think to mention, when I went, I went to a theater 20 miles from Garland so the opening scene got a huge laugh.

Hell, I'm in Oklahoma, since the little rivalry between Oklahoma and Texas, when Columbus said that, the entire theatre busted out laughing.

Hell, I saw "Zombieland" in Texarkana, TX, which was mentioned in the film. And, I live in Arkansas, so I loved that one of the characters was called Little Rock.

Zombieland is good and will easily get cult status but I thought it was way too short. It was barley an hour and 25 minutes.

Big thanks to The Sun newspaper for ruining the identity of the cameo appearence in its review friday......sigh.
Anyway I loved the film, not too violent, not amazingly funny but great fun. Woody Harrelson was amazing, this guy never fails to dissapoint me. I thought the ending was great and yes I would very much like to see a sequal. Please.
And that film really makes me want a twinkie for some odd reason even if they look disgusting.

I watched it again Thurs or Fri and loved. It's amazing how not having to follow a movie while listening to 15 or 20 little shits cry makes a difference.

I'm honestly surprised at how many people didn't know about the cameo beforehand. I'd known about it for months after looking up the cast on IMDb, though I had no idea what it entailed. I guess it's still possible to avoid stuff on the Internet.

You think THAT'S bad? I saw Zombieland as part of a double-feature at a drive-in in Vineland, NJ...guess what the second movie was? Anyways, Zombieland....flat-out awesome. If Tom Cruise can get a Golden Globe nomination for his role/cameo in "Tropic Thunder", Bill f***in' Murray ("I know that's not your middle name") better win the damn thing for this movie.
