Well isn't the slam true? I mean Fox News DID make a news story out of every other video game controversy. Whose to say we won't see this on the channel within the week? Yes, they did. And so did every other channel. No reason to single them out. And lets drop the Fox News stuff.... Let's follow this, 'kay?

I really think the outrage is justified this time. There is no reason to have a level that is basically a murder simulation.

It was dumb when people raged about it in GTA and it's still dumb now. And once again, if you don't like it you can SURPRISE not buy the game or skip the section.

Here is the level in question: If you want to see what the big deal is, watch it now, because the video will eventually be taken down and then you'd have to wait till the release. already pulled...was interested in seeing this before i made a comment

Tell that to the uninformed parents who will buy this game for their kids only to see them shoot civilians in an airport. Well they need a reality check to. my dad will gladly play GTA along side me rather than whine about how it is coruppting my mind & complaning to the news. It's just silly & scapegoating. But the thing with GTA is that it's done for laughs, this is dead effing serious the entire time.

Of course I'm pretty sure that the fact that you can skip this part or even play it but not fire a single bullet will get lost in the media shitstorm.....>_>

Terrorists and airports are still a touchy subject even after all these years. Yes, it's just a game. Yes, it's just make believe. But I can understand some people being a little sensitive about this kind of thing.

Okay I just saw the footage in question and yeah I can understand why there is an uproar over it...There is little to no resistance against you and when they say the potential for mass murder is there they weren't kidding...In the footage I saw atleast 20 civilians are offed as soon as the level begins...The weird thing about all of this is the fact that if this were to take place in a cutscene their wouldnt be this stigma around it but because it gives you the ability to be the terrorist I can see how this is going to cause a rainstorm of complaints

Some police show up with riot shields. Doesn't do them any good, because they get mowed down just as easy as the civilians, but still. Granted, it all comes down to how you play the level. I know I won't be as sadistic as the guy who played it in the video. I, personally, won't riddle their prone corpses with bullets or shoot people who are already injured and are crawling. Of course that's me. Psycho McPsycho may do it differently and just sit back and allow his teammates to shoot everyone down and then leisurely stroll through the carnage and shoot anyone on the ground still moving.

Terrorists and airports are still a touchy subject even after all these years. You mean 10 months? Because those mass shootings happened last Christmas.

I'm not usually one these "evil video games" types, but some things are genuiney sick, and, even if I don't agree, I can empathise with people who want them banned. Why even include that? What's the point? Just seems like being controversial for the sake of it. Same here.

I think it works as an artistic statement because nothing else in a video game has gotten such an emotional reaction out of me as that level, but at the same time I think the controversy this is going to generate will be too much for activision and the ESRB to handle.

I guess it's a matter of taste. And nobody is forcing you to not buy it. and while I do'nt care for censorship, I have no problem with organized boycots against the developer, publisher and any store that sells it. But, think about this: If video games had been around in the 1940-50s, would it be ok to create a game where one played as Hitler and they went around exterminating Jewish people? As a side note, I remember people getting up in arms about a game where the main VILLIAN was Osama bin Laden, with some (I'm looking at you, X-Play) criticizing the developers for capitalizing on people's fear. Yet, it's ok to play AS the terrorist? Soemthing doesn' t compute... Oh, and the slam against Fox News, that's not cool. At all. well there was a game called Super Columbine Massacre RPG!: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbine_rpgbut from every review I've read that game was pretty horrible. In my opinion, I actually believe that game is very interesting. The creator was trying to push it as an art form, as he wanted to look at other causes of the shootings aside from video games. For example, he was bullied and found too many similarities with himself and Klebold and Harris. The documentary is interesting as well. I'd really like to talk about it more, but it's really a discussion for super super super mature people (Not that you guy's aren't, I just don't want to deal with "THAT MAN SHOULD BURN IN HELL" stuff) and...some of these things just won't end well.

Please enlighten me in how this is so different that it isn't in anyway similar to GTA. did you watch the footage koda posted? Yes I did. Nothing I haven't seen in movies, anime, books ,or comics. Yeah it's harsh as hell but once again you can skip it if you want to. I can understand that people are going to have a different opinion than me but I seriously think people are overreacting like hell to this. The point of that section is to show you that Terrorism is a scary and f***ed up thing, it's like the Dragon going off in the first MW or playing as the PResident as he's being driven threw the city and seeing all the bad shit going on before he is excecuted. And honestly IW is just using there Mature rating to it's fullest. Not once did I see anything in there that says that IW put this in there for the lulz or anything else like that.
