I'll call it now: The Rebound Lariat will be the next "big move" in the WWE. I know that the bulk of the ROH fanbase hates it with a passion, but the WWE crowd will eat it up. Wow you're playing us WWE fans as idiots, plus with how loose the ropes Are I'm more worried he'd slip out and separate a shoulder

I'd like to see him on ECW...but as a face, feuding with Sheamus to begin with.

By the by, it was asked before if anyone would chant "YOU SOLD OUT" at Nigel, and the quick answer is no. ROH fans aren't known for that chant unless they're doing it at an angle where, for example, somebody turns heel by taking a bribe or offer from Prince Nana or something. well never say never. while it is true that ROH fans and indy fans in general have matured a lot since the days of "You sold out!" and "Get the f*** out!" being chanted at anyone leaving ECW to try and make money in one of the larger promotions, you can always count on one or two assholes to try and rain on everyone's parade. a few people did it to Punk at The Future is Now (the first show to take place after he came out he signed with WWE) and when he came back for one night at Unscripted II, and some guy did it to Danielson at the PWG show last week

I can really see his mastery of the Lariat getting over in the WWE. He's got some of the best Lariats since Stan the Man himself. I predict big things for Nigel in the E.

But yes, there are still sometimes one or two idiots in the crowd (like when Gibson was leaving after his match with Dragon) who'll do that, but they usually get shouted down and drowned out by the rest of the crowd.

I'll just say what I said about Danielson.
If he's half as good as people say he is, I can't wait to see him get a go.
EDIT: Just looking at that YouTube vid. He DOES throw a hell of a lariat.

I would LOVE to see an actual lariat in the WWE, but I think JBL basically retired the move. Especially with Nigel's history of arm injuries. I've said this quite a few times, I really wanted Nigel to make the jump to WWE because of how it would possibly prolong his career and make his retirement a little less painful. So instead of rehashing this, I'm just going to begin to hope that a version of "Snorking in the Bushes" is cleared for his theme.

As great a heel as he is there's also a great story to be told in WWE about the fact he was actually at Wembley Stadium for Summerslam 92.
I think the Tower of London could easily work as his finisher, as it wouldn't be a good idea to do too many lariats with WWE's schedule considering his injury problems.

When I refer to my expectations for Punk, I'm referring to his performance, not his kayfabed accomplishments. Sure, his list of accomplishments is impressive, but I'm still underwhelmed by him as a performer. His promos are average (but much better than the sleep-inducing dullness they once were) and his workrate is probably slightly below average. I think I shall Google some of McGuinness' work and then let the entire forum know what I think of it. In WWE "workrate" isn't really so much a priority as it was in ROH. While there are a few exceptions, it's hard to get over with just that. I'd personally rather be better on the mic and how to work a crowd then knowing a bunch of holds. Besides, it's not like they're actually wrestling out there, just doing a bunch of choregraphed moves. And, even then, if it's a criticism about his matches, Punk's had some pretty good ones so far. I don't get the criticism some people have with his matches; he's done well against a wide variety of people. I wonder if people expect him to be better than HBK or Jericho or someone like that... that's way too much to expect from someone.

He could easily make the London Dungeon into a viable finishing hold. There's a distinct lack of legit arm submissions these days, and Nigel could really be the guy to do it.
Oh, and I REALLY hope if/when Nigel wins a title, he does the thing where he wears it backwards.

I predict big things for Nigel in the E. don't count on it. since his bicep tear earlier this year he's severely cut back on lariats well never say never. while it is true that ROH fans and indy fans in general have matured a lot since the days of "You sold out!" and "Get the f*** out!" being chanted at anyone leaving ECW to try and make money in one of the larger promotions, you can always count on one or two assholes to try and rain on everyone's parade. a few people did it to Punk at The Future is Now (the first show to take place after he came out he signed with WWE) and when he came back for one night at Unscripted II, and some guy did it to Danielson at the PWG show last week In fairness, it made more sense to do to Punk since he had swerved the whole fanbase and (storyline-wise) was lording over how great he was/how rich he'd be/etc. I don't think, if he was at that show and the storyline had never been put into motion, that people would've been chanting that at him. except The Future is Now took place before he won the title and turned heel at Death before Dishonor III

It's a form of a cutter and, as such, too similar to the RKO, which is why I doubt he gets to use it. As somebody mentioned before, I think the London Dungeon makes the most sense.

Didn't their contracts with ROH just run up?
That would make more sense than the WWE actually raiding out ROH. Maybe they were just waiting out their contracts.
Besides, they are going to be making good money now -- hopefully they are able to adapt to the WWE Style.
