WCW signing Bret Hart. He didn't make a difference. Didn't draw any money. And did absolutely nothing. Way to go Eric. That was more of a waste of potential than a waste of money. If they had booked him like a main event level guy and not as a flip-floppy US title-level talent, then WCW might have seen many more returns on their investment. But they weren't going to push aside guys like Hogan, Savage, Nash etc. to make way for Hart to really contribute at the level that he was contributing in WWE. Then again, I wonder if the business hadn't already started to burn him out by then. But even then, WCW screwed the pooch on how they booked Bret, as they could have gotten a hundred miles out of dream matches against Hogan, Savage, Sting, Page, etc. Yes, all those matches eventually happened, but none of them had the build to make them seem like as big of a deal as they were.

How about the money used for Seven's vignettes and entrances, only to change it and have him call out the stupidness on TV?

Wrestling Basketball Federation. Things looked promising, but for some reason no one seemed to start up any feuds.

WCW Dennis Rodman and Karl Malone. Dennis Rodman was to screwed up to wrestle on the night and no one watches wrestling to see other athletes in the ring and WCW brought Rodman back the next again year also. He was getting paid around one million dollars and apperance if my memory is correct. The Monster Trucks from Halloween Havoc 95 that was just dumb

Wrestling Basketball Federation. Things looked promising, but for some reason no one seemed to start up any feuds. It was World Bodybuilding Federation. Vince was pushing it in 1992 (just around the time of the steroid scandal). Lex Luger had an interview at Wrestlemania 8 (direct from his home with Bobby The Brain Heanan) plugging it. Nothing much happened after that though and WWF pulled the plug on the WBF. I think you maybe getting mixed up with the XFL (which was also a massive waste of money) which was the football league McMahon came up with

Inoki buying an island from Fidel Castro because he claimed there was treasure on it. Inoki embezzling the funds from NJ because he wanted to fund scientific research in order to surpass Thomas Edison, a guy he supposedly hated. You know I honestly think Inoki may be the most hilarious man in wrestling...If everything I've read about him is true. Fixed to reflect that, for me, Inoki sounds like some bizarre real-life Scrooge McDuck. I just picture him going on adventures with Launchpad and three very square jawed nephews.

-Anything with celebrities outside Dennis Rodman Karl malone How can Rodman and Malone in WCW be considered a success and money very well spent for WCW?. I would say that L.T was not a waste either the crowd was hot for that match and to see LT in the ring maybe it was a waste of a main event for a event as huge as Wrestlemania 11 but the crowd was certainly into it and it was a good match. However as stated a football player (or ex football player) VS a mid carder is hardly a match worthy of a main event at Wrestlemania but that was more the bookers than LT himself. I would say L.T was a success in WWF and you have to also keep in mind buy rates and attendance was at an all time low in 1995 (and not at all down to just Diesel being the WWF Champion)

The PPV with the Bodyslam Challenge that was supposed to make Luger into the next Hogan. After the expense of shooting from an aircraft carrier with all those athletes and REAL AMERICANNESS...fans decided they liked Bret and Shawn better anyway. Actually that wasn't a PPV. Only portions of that event were shown for TV that week. I remember the fans chanting "Hogan" when they saw the helicopter landing, still though he was fairly over in his own right.

I think Swoll got paid like 250K in WCW.
And who was it they paid a half-mil and he NEVER even made an appearance with them?
