After hearing about Mrs McMahon planning to spend $30 million on her senate run (and anyone with any political experience who is asked about her chances, say she hasn't got a hope of winning) I was wondering what else people in wrestling have spent $$$ on needlessly.
So, far I've got
1) XFL 2) Brooke Hogan's music career 3) WWE movies (one or two of them made money, but the condemned and 12 rounds lost so much, it ensures the whole thing hasn't made a dime) 4) Pacman Jones 5) Jenna Morasca (she was the highest paid female performer in TNA history and was supposed to bring them mainstream attention, new fans and ratings....yeah.) 6) All those angles where limos get vandalised/wrecked. 99% it doesn't add anything to the angle at all. And I imagine limos are very expensive.

Whatever the WWF paid the Warrior in 1996.
Whatever WCW paid the Warrior in 1998.

Linda McMahons's political campaign. The huge contract that attempted to rehire Brock. Anything Scott Hall was paid 1999-onward. WBF. Bobby Lashley's contract.

Unless Trump did it for free because of his fondness for the WWE, I'm sure it cost WWE a bit and also the episode with him since it was commercial free too. Could be wrong.

In fairness about Lashley, he's young, talented and may have crossover appeal from his MMA career.
Yeah, he's probably not the big star Dixie thinks he is, but he's a huge waste of cash. He has potential.

The Company jet? All the vingetts for wrestlers that never made it: Outback Jack, Kizarny to name a few I dont think 30 second vignettes are all too costly, certainly not on the scale of blowing a half million to have KISS perform and watch your ratings get cut in half.

Kane's ring post firebursts (when not on PPV). Non-PPV Pyro (though it seems Linda took care of that one) Brock Lesnar (though WWE couldn't predict him quitting like that) Kid Rock WM25 Empty Arena matches Black Saturday WWF/E Films Jeritron 5000 when it got smashed Undertaker's elaborate entrances Wrestlers who hardly wrestle (like Funaki, Curt Hawkins, JWY, etc.) Wrestlers who didn't get put to good use (Braden Walker, Kizarny, Hade Vansen, etc.) 90-day no-compete clauses (seriously is TNA a threat like WCW once was?) Tape Libraries of old wrestlers/matches that I doubt very many people under 30 even know or care about. JBL's Limo and special celebration pyro
In Kayfabe:
Vince basically giving Donald Trump 2x refund for RAW. Ted DiBiase: Virgil, Andre the Giant's WWF belt JBL: Shawn Michaels as employee

How? Most are filmed before or after TV so it's not like they are renting an arena solely for one match. Fake/prop TV, so no real waste. Yeah, Kurt's jump showed that, IMO. Use in DVDs to make a lot of money and prop up 24/7 and Classics on Demand. Plus if WWE wants to be THE wrestling entity in the world, owning those libraries is a must to be taken seriously, IMO.
