A car motif? Was Lashley the Plan B after they failed to sign Hardcore Holly?

Seems like it was tailor made for Goldberg, since he always drove muscle cars and rode motorcycles... plus Goldberg is the host of Bullrun on the Speed channel, where people race cars across the country.

Excellent pick up for TNA. This might actually garner some good feedback and probably piss Vince off.

They did, but he has been making waves in MMA for a little while now... so this is a good pick up considering that although WWE Superstars is pretty much the D show... it is on against Impact.
Looks like business is indeed going to be picking up.

I dig it. I was a Lashley fan before they decided to make him Super Lashley.
Better then Stryker's suggestion of Nathan Jones, let me tell you.

I was thinking Nathan Jones just going by the criteria they gave and the fact he has supposedly signed with TNA.
As it is, Lashley is MARGINALLY better. I'm still not inspired to watch TNA again, although I may go to a friends house to watch a replay of Beer Money/Team 3D, but a feeling of 'meh' disappointment and underwhelming is better than "oh for crying out loud TNA!"

After they way they slowly built up Matt Morgan, I'm actually really happy they've picked up Lashley. If they decide to put Lashley into the MEM, and then later on bring Morgan over as well, I can see good things happening

As long as Lashley is in TNA and Batista is in WWE, there should be an annual WrestleCrap event, an event so big that it exceeds the forum boundaries. Of course it will be involving Photoshop-based competitions.
This will be our Bound For Glory/WrestleMania.
Bathurds v Basketballs.
WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON?

I'm prepared to give him a chance. He does make a more interesting heel than a face. I remember him heeling it up in OVW (with a good manager/mouthpiece) and he was fine. He's got the MEM to do most of the talking for him, so that's already going to compensate for his major weakness.

WWE didn't release Lashley. He quit after Krystal Marshall left, because she didn't want to do the storyline Vicki Guerrero got in the end. It was the definition of bad terms.

To be honest though, does he really fit in the MEM? He was in the WWE for 2 and a half years, and he did main-event a few shows, but compared to Sting, Angle, Booker etc...I don't see it.
However, I'm intrigued to see how he gets on. I'd like to see him go up against AJ at some point.
