For those wondering what ever happened to TNA teasing the debut of a new character named Andromeda a few months back, the character who was going to be played by openly gay Mexican wrestler Cassandro, never developed as Cassandro told friends he felt at least two people in TNA who would have had some control over his character were rude and homophobic. He claims he has no interest in working for TNA as a result.

It should be stressed that this was only his side of the story as TNA officials are claiming that he wasn't brought back due to visa issues or something related to it

I can actually believe the homophobic stuff considering Russo, Sting and AJ Styles are devote christians and homosexualtiy goes against their beliefs. Jeff Jarrett from what i hear has also displayed homophobic tendencies

He shouldn't have to put up with that in a supposed professional work environment.

why ya gotta be like that? I for one respect his decision not to be involved with TNA after, presumibly Russo and Jarret, took such a negative stand on his sexuality. No one should have to put up with that in any workplace. While I would like this hate thought to become non existant for now all i can say is leave it at home.

I've actually never heard of this Cassandro fella but I'm gonna try to find vids of his matches now just cause he's a stand up and proud human being.

Well Russo wouldn't surprise me. After all this is the guy who said that he wasn't interested in pushing Mexican or Japanese wrestlers. But I reckon if the other homophobic person with control over him would probably be Jarrett. Remember that even though Sting, Styles, Foley AND OTHERS are Christians, they wouldn't have any control over someone else's character. Tbh I can't see the three mentioned doing that anyway. Sting is too much of a professional imo, Stlyles may have issues but I believe he would just simply work with the guy and be done, and face it, Foley just ain't a homophobe.

Jarrett on the other hand is a Christian and a "Good Ole Southern Boy". Those two factors together generally do not go hand in hand with acceptance and tollerance of homosexuality.

He was on that Justin Lee Collins' trainer on that wrestling thing and seemed like a pretty cool guy. I would bet on TNA handling him terribly but being christian doesn't automatically mean that Sting, Russo etc. would treat him like crap and there are probably far more devout Christians were he works now in Mexico.

It's kind of a double standard. The same way America can be totally upset with a 3 second flash of a boob then go watch someone or something getting blown up.

It could also be a case of this guy being way too oversensitive. And don't take this as me picking on gays. I'm really not. I have friends who are gay so I know how oversensitive they can get sometimes.

Seems odd to me given that Kevin Nash is pretty darn friendly with the Gay community.
(Not meant in any bad kinda way. I've got friends in the Gay community in Florida who are friends with Kevin Nash)
