I have to question Paul as the martyr. He knew what he was getting into. If he was so against it for so long and this is all Vince's fault then why did Paul stick around so long and insist upon defending this charade? One look at his credit report would probably answer that for you. And what I've gotten off of Heyman is that he's an eternal optimist. That's why he and Tommy are such good friends. They both love and respect this business, but it's tough when the only guy who pays anything spits on the business on a regular basis. Paul's dealt with Vince before, but I'd like to think that he thought things would turn around, both for Extreme Velocity and the company, and he could carve out his little niche like he did in OVW. And reading Tommy's comments really breaks my heart. No one deserves this.

If he was so against it for so long and this is all Vince's fault then why did Paul stick around so long and insist upon defending this charade? Imagine you had this kick-ass job that you loved, then crap happened and you lost that job. Cut to about 5 years later, someone offers you that same awesome job, but "under their terms". Now, they promise you that it would be just like your old job, but they would be your boss and would help (read: edit/censor/not really help in the long run) you out when they thought necessary. If you didn't accept the job, you would never be able to do the same thing on your own, as this person would never let you. Now, would you take the job or not? Not knowing the outcome, I think 9 out of 10 people would definitely go back to that awesome job if they could. Exactly, and exactly why Heyman did NOT "sell out". If this is a shoot I've got even more respect for him walking away and not doing things the McMahon way.

Whether it's a work or a shoot, or a worked shoot or whatever, I LOL at the blurb mentioning that the WWE Chairman was upset at the disgruntled roster and the sagging ratings, when he knows damn well he and his progeny are the cause of it. Yeah nevermind the glaring fact Paul Heyman was only an onscreen characer by this point. Folks stuff like this is exactly what happens when nepotism is practiced at companies ran by senile redneck sodomites and their retarded children.

WWE does show wrestling they show it on RAW, ECW, and Smackdown. EAch show has been rather entertaining and full of entertaining and long matches, with logical storylines. Especially smackdown. Seriously i don't get the whole WWE and vince suck at booking, so then the wrestling must suck. But the wrestling, most of it, doesn't suck. I know you are entitled to your own opinion, but I strongly disagree with it. If I had to choose between watching WWE programming or PWG/ROH for the rest of my life, I'd pick PWG/ROH over WWE in a heartbeat. Matches that tell stories interest me far greater than wacky stories that influence mediocre matches.

I would agree. While there are some very good matches on smackdown right now, and decent ones on RAW, They push poop. Batista and Booker part 937 is frustrating. The Eddie angle is grotesque, and they gloss over great matches like Benoit Regal and make jokes during excellent matches. Vince is killing me. I really need to watch more TNA and ROH and the like. Though TNA is getting eerily similar....

Nice. Thinking maybe a public lynching for him would be in order...

Nice. Thinking maybe a public lynching for him would be in order... I'd settle for simply wishing him the best in his future endeavors. I'm never one to support public executions.

From JR's blog:
"Unfortunate to see Paul Heyman, the former ECW guru, leave the WWE. Paul is a bright guy with many interests and will no doubt 'land on his feet'. I have known and worked with Paul for MANY years, even when I was "thinner" and "Happy Heyman" had hair. We had our battles but Heyman is a sharpie cookie and won't need a telethon or fund raiser any time soon. I wish him the best in whatever he chooses to do."

I'm just looking forward to the attempt at doing ECW ONS next year, without Heyman. That's going to be interesting, if they even plan on doing it that is.

Of course Heyman is gone now. Vince got what he wanted. The video library and the rights to the name.
I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so. I called this months ago, when everyone was so excited about the prospect of a new ECW.
Of course, for my prophecy to come completely true, ECW must also be scrapped ala the XFL in just one year.
I wonder how much time is left?
*looks at my calendar*
You might see an ONS PPV this year. But it will be the last one.
Bank on it.

This is what happens when you make Bobby Ashley ECW Champion. It should've been Punk Dammit!
