That belt just looks silly on Sheamus... well on anyone NOT John Cena really, but it looked especially dumb on him for whatever reason.

This is what I'm hoping for. Kofi wins the title from John Cena or someone big at Wrestlemania. Kofi debuts the new belt the Raw after to establish the Kofi Kingston era is here.

He's just too damn bright, everything about him, and a big gold belt with a diamond encrusted WWE logo puked onto it just makes it worse.

I stopped noticing the belt a while ago, but it does look pretty ridiculous on Sheamus.

Ah the question that is asked every time someone who isn't Cena has the belt.
The answer: No. Never.

I don't think it will change until Cena is no longer the top star in the industry.

I know and the irony is that the belt looks best on Cena, the one guy who is almost as pale as Sheamus. Actually I think Triple H looked the worst with the belt and it doesn't fit Triple H look at all. Triple H who looks like an old tanned metal head with wet hair with a shiny bling bling belt just doesn't look right.

I don't think it will change until Cena is no longer the top star in the industry. So Now WWE= The entire? Seriously when did that happen? I don't remember NOAH being put out and Kenta retiring. Perhaps you could provide me with a link of some kind? Oh and did dannielson retire too?Because I heard he just signed a contract with the WWE but heh I can't blame him if he wants to retire. Though I think he's only like 30 so it'd be sort of strange.

Oh, c'mon.. seriously? Like it or not, Cena is the top guy in the only global protion left, so yeah, he's the top guy in the industry based on that. No one outside of indy fans even knows who Danielson is.

I can't believe it's lasted this long. That bling bling, pimp my ride type stuff is sooooo dated now. It's not like people were carrying around Stone Cold's smoking skull belt forever. In fact, now would be the perfect time to do it. Shaemus needs to do more heelish actions other than beat jobbers. If he destroys Cena's title, then I can see the little marks booing.

The pat answer you get is because it "still moves replica copies". Well, you can STILL sell the goddamn replicas of it even if it's not the main belt, or if it goes away. Have Cena threaten to bring it back if he wins the WWE Title again....there are ways to change the belt while keeping the idea of the old one alive to move merch. Seriously, that damn thing HAS to go.

I don't notice it as much when guys like Edge and Orton have it because it doesn't look so out of place, but yes it looked ridiculous on Shameus and I thought the same when Triple H had it. That thing just looks like a goofy toy on some people.

That thing just looks like a goofy toy on some people. And this is one of the things that irks me about it: a title belt should look good on ANYONE. Everyone from Khali to Ryder to Yoshi to HHH to Cena to Taker should be able to wear the belt and NOT look like a tool doing it. They could bring back the Smoking Skull belt (Austin's custom title) and it wouldn't look as ridiculous as the current title.

Seriously I can just imagine on how a non-fan walks into a room seeing a fan watching wrestling and he see's the belt on someone like Sheamus or Triple H.
Non-fan: So is that a toy belt or is that guy mocking the champion. Fan: Actually he is the champion. Non-fan: LOL WUT?! Seriously...
I had the dubious duties to explain it to my roommate two years ago, except it was Cena who was the champion and I just said it fits his gimmick of being some kind of wigger. He just nodded and left. I know what I said to him was an overstatement but I didn't want go to great depths of defending wrestling.

Am I the only one who thinks Sheamus is the only wrestler that doesn't look ridiculous with the belt?
But yeah, I wish they changed it. Unfortunately having a belt that looks like a toy is good for business.
